Quote of the Day

"I am excited to have a patriot like Ted Nugent joining me in the House Chamber to hear from President Obama."

-- Republican Rep. Steve Stockman of Texas, who has personally invited Ted Nugent to be his guest for tomorrow night's State of the Union Address

I don't even know where to begin with this so, with regard to the Republican party, I'll just quote the great philosopher, Captain Malcolm Reynolds: Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle.

In 2006 Cindy Sheehan wore a shirt that read "2,245 Dead. How many more?" and was removed from the State of the Union. Apparently visitors to Congress aren't allowed to wear shirts with type on them.

I really hope Ted wears a shirt with type on it or does something to get himself chucked out of the assembly like a frisbee.

There aren't the right words in English to describe how vile a creature Nugent is.

This is why we can't have nice things.

Considering his previous invective towards the president, he should be given a very thorough Prob - er - search before being let into the capitol.

Ditto MJG. I'm pretty sure I remember something about this guy making a direct, credible threat against the President should he be re-elected. Does the Secret Service want someone like that only a few hundred feet from the President?
