Mal-adjusted

Some of you have complained today about getting a malware warning from Google Chrome when coming to this site. I'm working on trying to figure out what it is.

So far it hasn't given me or anyone else problems so I think we're all pretty safe, but I'm checking into it.

For now, go about your business.

I'm not getting the warning now. I know that Silicon Valley advertising company Netseer's website was hacked, and that because of that there were a lot of these warnings earlier today on sites like HuffPo and the New York Times.

I have been getting a malware warning on Firefox for some time. Nothing specific and nothing bad has happened.

Cyanide & Happiness too. *grumble* That's the big problem with embedded ads and 3rd party plugins. It's getting to where the website owner doesn't even know what 3/4 of the content of their site is. (What you may see is the plugins take a small to medium chunk of the website but, when you look at the actual code, there is much more than you can see.)

Yesterday, one person (only) got a similar message while using Chrome to access the CBC R3 music site.

Weird.
