You know what really gets me about this "Obama gave them stuff" meme?

It is that they are basically complaining that Obama gave them things they wanted to show why they should vote for them. In other words, CAMPAIGNING.

That is all that happened here. Obama made campaign promises, and then, to the consternation of so many in the GOP, actually fulfilled some of them.

The GOP, and the Romney camp in particular, have been so focused on their plan of cynical, bald-faced, sociopathic lying to people's faces that it never dawned on them, for one fleeting second, that another politician would actually tell voters one thing, then stick to it. The very concept of "say what you mean, and mean what you say" is considered so alien that it is unfair to them. They don't know how to campaign against a guy who simply kept a promise.

They can't comprehend the basic idea of someone doing what they said they would do. It is completely antithetical to their very being. And now they say that he did what he said he would do, and try to make it sound like a bad thing.

I know I probably repeated myself several times in this, but it is remarkable to me the cognitive dissonance that has to happen for a person to do that.
