Pledge Hammer: Day 2

Just a reminder that we're in the middle of our quickie Welcome Summer Pledge Drive here at DXM. If you like the stuff you find here -- the media criticism, politics, pop culture crap, juvenile attempts at comedy and musical shout-outs -- as well as the stuff on the podcast and over at the Daily Banter and Huffington, then by all means give a little of your hard-earned money to keep my internet efforts a-coming.

You know the drill: There are three ways you can throw some cash toward the DXM media empire. The first is the easiest: Just click the Paypal electronic tip link in the right-hand sidebar of this screen and donate away. You can also use the Paypal tip jar to pay-what-you-want for a digital copy of my book, Dead Star Twilight, for iPad or Kindle. Go here to begin your instant download. Remember, it's a full length book -- 300-some-odd pages -- and it can be yours for whatever you feel like putting toward it. The last way you can give is by buying a physical copy of Dead Star Twilight from Amazon. To purchase the paperback, just click here. (By the way, buying the book gives the least amount of money to the site since I only get a small cut; I want to sell books but I know there are some people out there who would want to be made aware of that.)

A very big thank-you to Helen Stepp, Bobby T and Carlos Alvarado for going above and beyond the call of duty in their generosity. It's so very appreciated. To everyone else, thanks for reading and for helping out.

Another update tomorrow.

And now here's a dead cat that's been turned into a remote control helicopter.

Is that the theme from Airwolf? I am going to write you a blank check for your fund drive. That's just about the most awesome thing I've seen in quite some time.

Kittycopter, huh?

Hope the owners are proud of using one of it's nine lives. Or negative nine lives for that matter.
