My latest piece for the Daily Banter expands on what I mentioned briefly here yesterday: the GOP's absolute unwillingness to take no for an answer.
Here's the opening shot:
"Hungover from all that celebrating in the wake of yesterday’s Supreme Court decision on the Affordable Care Act? Well, with the cold light of a new day, hopefully, comes the realization that this little victory doesn’t in any way mean that the overall battle is over when it comes to trying to provide Americans with health care that won’t either leave them to die or just kill them with bills..."

I think whats really bothering the GOP is the realization that they have become Obama's bitches. Everytime they try something he bitch slaps them. The GOB-Grand Old Bitches.
I thought GOP now stood for Grumpy Old Politicians. They've made themselves a dying breed. At this point, good riddance.
It's a great article as usual Chez, but seriously, the moderation team for comments needs to chill the hell out.
After hearing the Cici's Pizza clip on the Bob and Chez After Party I now think of the GOP as the Angry Old Man and the Dems/Progressives as the calm clerk.
Perhaps as some of the old guard GOP dies off (because let's face it, they're getting old)or is no longer involved in politics and the voting demographic changes these venerable fights will decrease. Yes there are young GOPers to fill in the gaps left by the geriatric squad as they diminish but they still have to get elected by the people (in theory)...and people are changing (granted some are more stupid now) it seems to be more accepting of things.
I could be wrong...won't be the first time, won't be the last.
Hey what a great for Obama Care - in a couple of years, after all the young twenty something band members turn 27, and they have to buy health insurance, instead of a new amp or guitar, can't wait for those songs to start popping up on the top 40 rock and roll charts...
Hey Drew....this just in from one of the youngins of the party, Gov. Bobby Jindal: "We are not going to start implementing Obamacare," Jindal said. "We are committed to working to elect Gov. Romney to repeal Obamacare."
They're not dying off....they're becoming reincarnated.
Well Stephen, I did say that there were young GOPers to fill in the gaps...but yeah. The battles will continue for sure but as the demographic changes they may diminish. I'm a hopeful man.
If they're being reincarnated it's the closet they've probably come to recycling anything!
Zombie Republicans?! We're all fucked!
"If they're being reincarnated it's the closet they've probably come to recycling anything!"
hahahahaha
