"The reason my husband wrote Amendment 1 was because the Caucasian race is diminishing and we need to, uh, reproduce."
-- Jodie Brunstetter, wife of North Carolina State Senator Peter Brunstetter, on why her husband backed an amendment that would outlaw same-sex marriage, civil unions and domestic partnerships in their state
I'd say something obvious about how repugnantly racist and bigoted this kind of comment is, but to be honest I just can't stop staring quizzically at the photo of Jodie and Peter to the left there.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't they in a same-sex marriage?

Frankly, they look like siblings. Was her Brunstetter before they got married?
Based on the picture I was under the assumption he simply married a younger clone of himself.
Well, it is North Carolina we're talking about.
They do know that non-white people can be gay too, right?
She looks like Jeff Bridges....Starman?
Well they definitely prove...Hate is ugly.
Woah! Clearly Chez....you and the rest of the liberal Jew elite media are talking the words of this fine Christian mother out of context. Perhaps if she was a bull dyke, pushing the gay agenda over the health of their race, you Jews would be up all on this! Its just like the media, rankling up the unwashed hoards of blacks and dirty Mexicans into an uproar by injecting false claims of racism every single gosh darn time a white (not greasy Italian or drunk Irish) GOP member even opens their mouth. You know what it is Chez? Racism. That's the dark, dirty secret you media Jews don't want let out...that for the white man...its open season for persecution!
I'm sorry...my Bruins are out of the Tourney thanks to that darn black guy scoring for the Caps. Seriously?!? Black people in the NHL? WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TOO?!?
(YAY SARCASM!!!)
I think ol' Jodie and Pete need to be introduced to the Duggars.
At first glance I honestly thought that was a father daughter picture.
