I think Seth's little "make fun of begging for an Emmy" routine is wearing a little thin. How hard is it to accept that Family Guy is in no way the sort of thing that wins awards? Isn't making a billion dollars enough? It's like the Scary Movie guys doing an all out Oscar campaign. Plus, this is the cover of the screener sent out to voters, so the "to hot for the trades" business is just bullshit hype.
I wouldn't really call Family Guy outstanding. Hell, it's only technically a comedy at this point. Even odds they've secretly hired Carlos Mencia as head writer.
I don't think the show's worthy of an Emmy -- but it's an amusing ad.
I'm looking forward to the ads for whatever awards Jeff Dunham or Larry the Cable Guy want.
Hey, any thoughts (in a separate post) on the great Bourdain going to CNN?
