Quote of the Day Jr.

"(President Obama) has said he's a Christian, so I just have to assume that he is. All I know is I'm a sinner, and God has forgiven me of my sins... you have to ask every person."

-- Franklin Graham, this morning on MSNBC's Morning Joe

A personal rule of thumb: If you've got the word "reverend" in front of your name chances are I'm gonna care less about your opinions on politics than I do about anything that comes out of the mouths of those people who won't shut up about Downton Abbey.

By the way, is Franklin Graham a self-righteous asshole? Well, he says he isn't, so I guess I'll have to take him at his word. You have to ask every person, though.

Some people would argue that a person who does not cow tow to Franklin Graham’s very specific version of American Christianity is exactly what this country needs. BTW, real follows of Christ don’t become millionaires and get asked to come on Morning Joe to spout their opinions.

Heard on local news radio a quote from Republican Santorum supporter in AZ that he thinks Santorum is catching up to Romney because "God is on his side" and "God is pushing him forward". That kind of talk scares the living shit out of me. It's insanity and it feeds right into their crazy ass logic loop that sees God or Satan no matter what is happening. If Santorum wins the nomination, they'll say God did it. If he loses they'll say Satan won. If Santorum is the nominee and loses to Pres. Obama, which I fervently hope and think he would, they'll say it was Satan and anyone who supported Pres. Obama are doing the work of Satan. This stuff if dangerous.
