Not that he ever promised to, but I'm disappointed the president hasn't moved to end the war on drugs.

I really thought that once in office, this president would move at least incrementally towards ending this folly.

But alas....he's a politician just like all. And as you pointed out in your broadcast there are no campaign donations to be had from those that want to end the war on drugs.

There have also been far more pressing things that have taken priority. Economy, health care, LGBT rights, much of which was accomplished with a phenomenal amount of obstruction by the Republican Party.

I'd like to think if we do well in the 2012 elections, we'll have a clear majority and a Democratic Speaker who can whoop ass as successfully as Nancy Pelosi. That, combined with a 2nd-term POTUS who may take the gloves off (at least one, maybe), may get a few things done.
