Air Heads

Now that Cesca has gone ahead and made it public, I can follow suit: our little podcast, The Bubble Genius Bob and Chez Show, is coming to a radio near you for 2012. Well, it is if you happen to live in the DC area.

Yesterday a new progressive talk channel, WPWC 1480 AM, launched in the DC market and as it ramps up it'll feature the likes of Thom Hartmann, Stephanie Miller, David Shuster, Sam Seder, Lizz Winstead and Cliff Schechter (also Ed Schultz, but I hear he comes with a year-long pass to the all-you-can-eat buffet at Sizzler as a package deal, so you kind of have to include him). Among these illustrious voices, you can throw in Bob and me, since our show will be part of the line-up, airing Sundays from 3PM-4PM.

Obviously this means I'll have to curb my foul language, which won't be easy. That's why I'm now wearing a shock collar around my genitals that activates whenever I swear. Hopefully this will act as a kind of aversion therapy; it's not one of the uses described in the back of the magazine I got it from, but I'm improvising.

Anyway, consider this our first step toward terrestrial radio domination. You've been warned.

By the way, the line of groupies forms to the left.

Congratulations Chez!

I hope you'll make a few bucks while your doing it.

If you don't mind me asking, are you working for the station or are you buying the airtime and selling the spots yourself?

Working for the station. We were approached.

and for those not in the DC area you can listen online here http://www.weactradio.com/2011/12/31/1480-am-progressive-talk-radio/

looks like they've gone from gospel to spanish and now progressive.

Have fun Chez :) and don't enjoy that shock collar too much

Congratulations, Chez. Break a leg.

Congrats. Now you need to get Sirius/XM to give you two a call.

Adding batteries to the shock collar will push it beyond the description from the magazine.

You won an Emmy Award, and then you won a second Emmy Award to put next to your first one.

You won a Golden Mic Award, and now you are planning to win a second award for radio to put next to your first one.

Yes, Anon. I meant to post something about it but I've been incredibly busy. Last week I got the great news: remission. I promise you, NOBODY deserves that more than this guy.

Congrats! The more progressive voices on the radio the better

Wow, I thought the "rocking' jocks" thing was a joke. Does this mean there is a Harris Mint in the Morning show coming?

Did I just geek out over a radio show joke? My god, I am SUCH a nerd.

As a great man once said, G-rated filth is WAY worse than regular filth. Something tells me the shock collar will only force more imaginative language.

I do envy you DC residents. Not enough to move, but it is there.

Best of luck. Schultz is a waste of time.
