Listening Post

I've been on a total 70s glam kick lately. And there's not a damn thing wrong with that.

Here's one of the coolest rock and roll songs ever recorded.

It's Sweet's Ballroom Blitz.

I used to have the 45 of their song "Action".

Not sure how big of a hit it was, but always thought that song was great. Even their much-later "Love is like oxygen" was great.

That's a trip down memory lane. When I was about 12 I had this on a 45 rpm record and Fox on the Run was on the other side. My friends and I would play it over and over and dance like maniacs around the living room. Oh the days of innocence.

The years were not good to Brian Connolly.

"Ballroom Blitz" always makes me think of "Wayne's World." Which of course totally works for me.

Wayne's World for me, too, it's where I first heard the song. I heard the Tia Carrere version on the movie first and thought it was pretty cool, but then I got the soundtrack and heard he REAL song and thought it was RAD.
