Quote of the Day, Jr.

"Everything is a little funny game to you. The Republic is at stake!"

-- Glenn Beck, angrily lashing out at Jimmy Fallon after the Roots, who are the house band on Fallon's show, played a couple of lines from Fishbone's Lyin' Ass Bitch during Michele Bachmann's entrance onto the set the other night

See below comment re: Pamela Gellar.

By the way, I agree with Beck on this. The Roots actually should've played a little of Buckcherry's Crazy Bitch. That would've made more sense.

Where was his uproar over Obama being called a liar during State of Union?

I don't know about Crazy Bitch. I don't want to ever, ever, ever think about Bachmann and "fucks so good I'm on top of it" together.

EVER.

Still, this just adds onto the mountain of awesome that is The Roots.

I appreciate how Jimmy Fallon is just automatically supposed to apologize for this little bit of stealth snark while svelt Rush Limbaugh calls the first lady fat daily, building to finally calling her uppity and that's defended as "humor" from the right. It's the whiplash of the double standard from the right that gets me.

Paul Shaffer and the CBS orchestra played the instrumental song called "The Horse" when Tim Burton was on. They may have played it for SJP, but I can't confirm that. I always notice for whom they play that song, as it seems to be one of their standard winks.

Glenn Beck always strikes me as someone who's just forgotten to take his meds. Even my parents, who are fervent FOX watchers, turn the channel.
