Unreason of the Witch

The interesting thing about this "dramatic" walk-off by Christine O'Donnell during an interview with CNN's Piers Morgan tonight is that, to her credit, she doesn't come off at all like some kind of blithering idiot. She does, however, come off as somebody who has no idea how an interview with a news outlet that isn't Fox generally works -- to wit, no, you don't get to dictate what you're asked and you're not guaranteed to be pitched only softballs.

That said, as Oliver Willis intimated on Twitter this evening, in the end this was nothing more than somebody who didn't do anything worth being interviewed for getting pissed at a guy very few people care about on a show hardly anyone's watching.

I found it interesting that she wasn't the one making the decision to stop the interview, it was her handlers off camera that told her it was over. Another reason not to listen to her.

She strikes me as a sweet, stupid, well-meaning person who is just trying to make a living repeating things other people have said.

The whole time I wanted Piers to say, "Witch, answer the fucking question before I get the Queer Eye guys in here to burn you."

Howard Stern had great fun with this clip this morning. See if you can catch it on replay.
