Quote of the Day: The Kook of Mormon Edition

"I am to now recuse you from this case. Now sign order to recuse thyself; and allow this proceeding to stop... Step away from this abuse of power against a religious and pure faith in the Lord."

-- From a motion filed in court by super-cuddly fundamentalist Mormon leader Warren Jeffs demanding that the judge in the sexual assault case against him step down under, Jeffs says, an order from God

Every time I think Mormonism -- fundamentalist or otherwise -- is no more crazy than any other religion, Warren Jeffs opens his mouth and brings me back to reality. Or a complete lack of it.

A lot of these religious fundamentalists/conservatives/authoritarian figures have this mentality they can order people to do what they say just because they want it to be. The rules laid out -- you know, the ones they impose on us -- doesn't apply to them.

"Do what I say, not what I do."

If anyone want to piss these fuckers off, act as though the rules doesn't apply to you, too. It drives them bonkers for them to see they don't have a hold on you. They hate losing power; it's an insult for them.

Don't follow their words, do you're own thing and watch them lose it. It's time we start being the proverbial rebellious teenagers and stick the finger in their faces. It's time we fight back.

I believe the only rational response to this is "hasa diga eebowai".
