All That You Can't Leave Behind

Both of my favorites are on this list -- All I Want Is You and Where the Streets Have No Name -- but I would've put them at two and one, respectively. Still, you look over these ten songs and realize that you're very lucky to have had this band in your life throughout most of it.

Rolling Stone: Readers Poll: The Best U2 Songs

I'm still a little sad, though, that they've gone from being probably my second-favorite band of all time to being a band I don't listen to or even think about much at all, and from being a band that you waited in line for just the new album (not even tickets!) to being a band that--oh yeah, they're still together, aren't they.

But nonetheless, that's a helluva good mixtape Rolling Stone's got right there.

My band was fortunate enough to have a singer that could do a respectable Bono.

U2 is a great band, but nobody hardly gets to play anything by them because the vocals are so difficult.

*SPOILER ALERT* I was starting to get pissed that ONE wasn't on the list, then it turned out to be #1, nice.

"You ask me to enter but then you make me crawl and I can't be holding in on to what you've got, when all you've got is hurt"

Fucking. Great. Lyrics.

I never really was a big U2 fan, but they had a show here last night and apparently played for 2 hours and 45 minutes. I've got to respect the fact that they're so rich and established and are still willing to give fans their money's worth. It's nice to know that they apparently appreciate the people who gave them their success.
