Threat Level Midnight

These Harry Hanrahan videos over at Pajiba are generally damn entertaining, but this one could be my favorite.

It's The 100 Greatest Movie Threats of All Time.

I'm sure many will argue over ones they loved that Harry overlooked or passed on. My personal favorite not seen here is from Miami Vice (a much better movie than anyone gave it credit for) when Jamie Foxx's Rico Tubbs claps his hands loudly next to small-time weasel Nicholas's ear and says, "That is the sound of air rapidly filling the vacuum created by your departed body."

By the way, I'll be out most of the day today. Feel free to threaten me.

My own missing favorite (while not exactly a threat) from Once Upon A Time In The West:

Jack Elam: Looks like we're short one horse (chuckles).

Charles Bronson: (shakes head slowly) You brought two too many.

...and calamity ensues. Badass!

Completely agree with you on Miami Vice. Underrated flick. It's no Heat or Collateral, but still damn good.

What? No Princess Bride?

Love the way Denzel Washington delivers in that quiet way. One of my favs is "I'm gonna knock the taste outta yo mouth"

Charles Bronson: Hard Times

Fast forward to 2:10, for context. He says the line right at the three minute mark.

That's always been my favorite.

Chez, if you don't get your ass back here right now, I'm going to make you watch Sarah Jessica Parker do a 69 with Rosie O'Donnell while Paris Hilton recites Shakespeare to you.

I may be a total geek (and I am) but I always think of a line from Children of Dune when Stilgar (Steven Berkoff) threatens Duncan Idaho (Edward Atterton) with the following line, delivered through clenched teeth: "I will have your water!" Yeah, it doesn't work in print, you had to be there.

I have nothing useful to add, excpet that the screenshot for the video appears to be Paddy Considine from Dead Man's Shoes and that movie is really good. Paddy Considine kicks all kinds of ass in general and particularly in that movie.

"SIT your five dollar ass before I make change!"

So ridiculously funny.
