Sunday Sacrilege

I first discovered Christian Nightmares when somebody sent me the now-legendary and still awesomely weird "Christian Side Hug" video. Since then, the Tumblr site has become my go-to source for all Jesus-related insanity.

Well, in the spirit of the Christian Side Hug -- which you might remember spawned all kinds of debate over whether or not the teen hip-hop act doing it was for real -- the good folks at C-Night are bringing us another act sure to make your eyes widen and your brain explode at the thought that this has got to be some kind of parody.

Ladies and gentlemen, Christian singing sensations, 70s roadie look aficionados, supposed Tea Party idols and very obviously gay guys -- The Chrisagis Brothers.

These two are my new favorite band.

Seriously -- just watch this.

You're welcome.

So is "eccentric" Christian-speak for gay as nails????

"B N S Ministries" for "Brian Nate Shawn Ministries"?

That means, without the reporter, they're BS Ministries?

Genius

If you live in the Ohio Valley and you like Christian music . . . you probably hate yourself and pray for death everyday.

Get these guys together with that contestant from the last Miss America contest ... And their family of dolls, of course .... it would result in the second coming of Chucky.

I don't want to know what kinds of freaky roles those puppets play in whatever sort of fucked up sexual things these guys are into...because you KNOW these guys are into some weird ass shit...

It is a parody, I'm guessing they are some sort of Performance Comedy Duo that are seeing how far they can take this "Show" until they reveal themselves. The reason I can tell is because they don't have a Tambourine in the American Man video. Every Christian Band uses a tambourine, it's in the Bible.

It takes real commitment to go with the full Barry Gibb.

Wow, they seem to be combining the most annoying brand of Christianity with the most hilarious Eastern European Eurovision acts. I don't know whether to be appalled or amazed.

I kept waiting for them to break out their Remains of the Day lunch box or show them shopping for pantsuits. You know, for their wives.
