Listening Post

I'm gonna be scarce for the next few days -- I mean, even scarcer than I've been recently -- because I've got a hell of a lot on my plate right now, not the least important of which is flying up to New York City this weekend to pick up my little girl.

I promise to return wonderfully revitalized. I hope.

For now, here's one of my favorites from Duran Duran.

This is Lonely in Your Nightmare.

Thank you Chez. This video/song brings back such amazing & hilarious memories of 13 yr old, Duran Duran obsessed me.

This and The Chauffeur are actually my two teenage favorites.

Come Up and See Me is still my favorite, but that brings back a LOT of memories of playing along with Roger Taylor on my old Remo PTS kit. Good times.

This made me think of the ending from Good Will Hunting.

Sorry, won't be around for awhile...have to go see about a girl.

Yes! You, sir, have great taste. This is one of my favorites from Duran Duran as well. Everything comes together so nicely on this track -- Rhodes' synths, Taylor's (X3!) drums, guitar, and bass, and le Bon's sincere and rather mysteriously gorgeous lyrics. Great video from Australian director Russell Mulcahey, too!

Good start to Friday. Have fun with your special lady!
