Quote of the Day

"I asked Salinas, still clad in his work clothes -- a polo shirt and jeans -- about Dobbs, the owner of the horses he cared for. But the father of three simply flashed a disarming grin, let out an easygoing laugh and politely declined to comment."

-- From a new article in The Nation alleging that former CNN anchor and U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Lou "La Cucaracha" Dobbs spent years knowingly employing illegal immigrants to work on his estates

Oh, come on -- are you really surprised? If Dobbs doesn't have a half-dozen illigitimate love children running around Tijuana I'll be shocked.

You'll be a shock ? You already are a shock!
What else is new?

... Just kiddin' ya Chez... You left out the letter t in It'll and the punctuation off the sentence ending with his estates in the paragraph before.

Chez said...

Jesus, I suck.

No you definitely don't suck Chez. In fact, I was wondering if I felt the same way about you, as you said you felt about Hitchens?

The other day I was just asking myself, "What I'd give to have Chez Pazienza even know who the heck I was, much less be an jerk¹ to me."

¹ Of course I am just joking with you about the jerk part. But it made me realize I shouldn't take DXM for granted, nor get too carried away in The Land of LOL,ROFL & LMAO.

How come you went with will in the contraction I'll and not the simple past of will: would in the contraction I'd?

The other thing I wanted to ask you about. Shouldn't you just add the apostrophe, when the last name ends in a hard "z" sound?

Sanchez's wife's Facebook

Should be:

Sanchez' wife's Facebook

Am I right?
