Do you feel vindicated?
Jeff Zucker is leaving NBC too. Interesting day for media...
So Klein is officially gay now, not really a shock a I've known he's a flamming homosexual since the love for Anderson Cooper started back in 2005. So what else is new?
On behalf of The CNNfan community, coming up its 7th anniversary... Thank you Jon Klein for your precious support.Your exclusive interview helped fans kickstart the CNNfan Community, because it really helped open the door for so many more exclusive CNNfan interviews which followed with CNN on-air talent and the hard work of CNN PR.This is upsetting news.
Am I the only one who just wants to punch that bastard in the face?
@10:08AM As a disgruntled employee, do you bad mouth your former employer often?
Just stop, Tom. Really, man. You seem relatively lucid until the subject of Jon Klein -- or really anything related to the supposed infallibility of CNN -- comes up, and then you lose all perspective and kind of go off the deep end. Considering your screen-name, though, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I've grown to appreciate your strangeness, but I hold 100% firm to the fact that when it comes to how CNN operates, you really don't know what you're talking about.Klein was by no means an absolute failure, and I still watch CNN quite a bit and respect some of what they do there (and do very well). But many of his decisions were just ridiculous, and he changed the overall face of the kind of journalism CNN U.S. regularly practices -- and not for the better. He made the shareholders quite a bit of money, and I'm the first to concede that TV news these days is a business and therefore it has to make money -- but he often did it at a very hefty cost to the network's integrity.
Would CNNfan like a punch in the snoot as well?I'm not a disgruntled former employee, Klein personally fucked me over for no good reason. He knows what he did and he deserves whatever bad happens to his fat ass. And yes, I bad mouth him every single fucking chance I get but remember one thing, he started it.
Thanks for your good advice, Chez. I'll take a break now and try to calm down a bit.Ratings is the #1 discussion fans care about. So, what I have learned about how they operate behind the scenes is that off-air talent is as worthy of fandom as on-air talent. The audience attraction to the way the two talents relate to each other is a recipe for raising ratings.
