Bonus Quote of the Day

"Those who are impotent and limp and gutless and they go on their anonymous, sources that are anonymous, and impotent, limp and gutless reporters take anonymous sources and cite them as being factual references. It just slays me because it's so absolutely clear what the state of yellow journalism is today that they would take these anonymous sources as fact."

-- Sarah Palin responding exactly the way you knew she would to a new Vanity Fair article that portrays her as a pathological liar who's more than a little unhinged

I've read this over several times and aside from the juvenile insult aimed what Palin probably truly believes is the author of the article's flaccid penis, I can't for the fucking life of me figure out what the hell she's talking about.

By the way, this received "Quote of the Day" status only because I couldn't think of a way to transcribe Jan Brewer going, "Uh.. uh... and... um... uh...budget," for a full minute.

Folks, I give you the she-wolves of the modern Republican party. Move over Mensa.

I do believe you forgot to include Michele Bachmann in all her maniacal grandeur. You don't want to make HER angry, you wouldn't like her when she's angry ...

Oh. Oh dear.

I find it profoundly disturbing that people like Palin and Brewer are legitimate threats to the future of the country. I'm moving to the moon.

If Sarah Palin didn't exist, we would have had to invent her. I blame the person who firstcoined the word FAILARITY.

Kevin M. Hagerman (But please, for the purposes of this comment, consider me Anonymous and three-quarters erect)

I read that very well-written Vanity Fair article, and find it interesting that the "anonymous sources" Palin inveighs against were specifically anonymous because they feared the "Mama Grizzly's" retaliation if it became known they spoke against her. Apparently, she rally does live up to her nickname of "Sarah Barracuda."

Sarah is right, and I think airing social network comments on TV, anonymously or otherwise, caused ratings to drop sharply.

It's refreshing to hear someone say it out loud.

"...Anonymous and three-quarters erect."

What a wonderful world this would be if every newspaper and magazine adopted THAT as a standard identifier for anonymous sources.

So, she's railing against the journalistic world for using anonymous sources, because they're apparently not reliable or trustworthy if they don't reveal their identity?

(This coming from the woman who works for a network that regularly skews, ignores or manufactures polls for it's own benefit)

So...
I wonder what someone like Palin would have said regarding Deep Throat and the Watergate scandal then.

What John Petty said. Hell, there was even a part about the reporter trying to track down a woman who had to quit her job and move to a different state because of a falling-out she had with Palin, and she STILL wouldn't speak to the guy.

My favourite parts of the article were when her own mother revealed she'd never hunted in her life, one of her youngest daughters called her fake, and the part where Palin spent several hours reading emails from 'prayer warriors' rather than the books her aide brought her to sharpen her non-existent intellect. I've heard villagers in my country call this woman ignorant and these are peoplo who've never been to school.

I wonder how long before her rabid fans start comment-spamming the article.

The way Palin builds tension when she speaks is exhilarating as we wait breathlessly: When will she get around to a predicate?

ntx: AWESOME.

You know what I learned from this quotation, though? I learned that on the day she uttered this her word of the day calendar featured a two word phrase: "yellow journalism".

She would say, "What's that?" She didn't/doesn't know who Margaret Thatcher is, for crying out loud. Talk about low-hanging fruit...

When I think of Miss Sarah, I'm the exact opposite of those leftist reporters. I'm willing and ready to have her over for Prayer and Pie (R)(TM).
Now, I'm celebrating Labor Day by working and ignoring it. Let the lazy union men "celebrate" this useless holiday.
Amen,
Bill

Did she just drop the I-word? What a retard!

I've decided to no longer refer Plain as a white trash cunt. I am now dubbing her: "Lady Batshit".

I think it would go something along the lines of "I don't allow pornography in my house" and "we took the kids there last summer, I love the big slide, you betcha! (wink)"

Wow.

Seriously though, Freud would have a conniption reading all the not-quite-subtext in that mess.

I may have to stop reading her quotes. Her brand of language-mangling arse-gravy almost causes me physical pain!

Since no one on Gods green earth knows for sure where the punctuation goes, it's much better in poetry fashion:

Those who are
Impotent and limp and gutless and They go on
Their anonymous sources
That are anonymous
And impotent
Limp and gutless reporters
Take anonymous sources
And cite them
As being factual references
It just slays me
Because it's so absolutely clear What
The state of yellow journalism
Is today
That
They would take these anonymous sources
As fact
