"Screw 'em."
-- Joe Scarborough on the GOP if it doesn't like the fact that he's defending the proposed Islamic community center near Ground Zero
I give Scarborough a lot of credit because, if nothing else, he's a bit of a conundrum: a guy who can occasionally spout the most outrageously inflammatory right wing rhetoric, then turn around and stand very firmly against his party's conventional wisdom (or lack thereof). Whether he does it to showboat and rack up at least a minor amount of independent street cred, it works. He's not always easy to pin down, and these days that's the best you can ask for from anyone generally considered a partisan.

Well said. Sadly rare, what he's doing. Probably get crucified for it. But maybe he'll be a politician of tomorrow.
Joe's split personality may stem from a split in the GOP. It may not be not public knowledge. However, as Joe clearly puts it,
"Screw 'em." the GOP screw themselves while infighting.
I disagree. I think he's definitely earned the "Doucheborough" moniker.
He kinda looks like Susan Boyle...
Scarborough, despite rare flashes of decency, IS a douchebag. The GOP has been winning on hate and racist dogwhistles for a long time. It would be nice to see it backfire, but I won't hold my breath.
Meh. His "beautiful mind" is offset by a screeching cable news persona. Frankly, I'm sick of having to try to figure out if these ex-pols have a real conscience or are playing to controversy.
He looks like Chez!!
The best you can ask for? How about keeping your interns alive? That's what I generally ask for first.
