Despite their current far-too-close relationship with Miley Cyrus, I've always liked American Hi-Fi. Their 2001 debut album was emo power-pop before that genre even came into fashion -- and it was executed damn-near perfectly.
The band's brand new record is a return to that kind of form (the album's cover art is even a direct reference to the debut), and while enough time has passed that I'm not as excited about it as I would've once been, what these guys do they still do very well.
