And Here's the Twist...

Just for the hell of it last night, I submitted the original M. Night Shyamalan piece, with a new header introducing it, to the Huffington Post. I e-mailed HuffPo God Roy Sekoff and let him know that despite the fact that the column was a few years old, it was mildly entertaining and was available for the site if they felt like they wanted to publish it.

Turns out, they did. And they put it at the top of the entertainment section, no less.

In other words, my four-year-old fight with M. Night is now going big time, baby.

Is there a link to that interview anywhere?

Is it really cool to pile on a guy when he's down? Yes, in this case. Suck it M.

For one, M. Knight looks like Thriller-era Michael Jackson in the pictures you've been using. For the other, nothing is quite as delicious as Roger Ebert tearing down Avatar:TLA in his review from earlier this week.

Thank you thank you thank you! It's so nice to know I'm not the only person who thinks this guy is a talent-free dick.

Wow. There really are a lot of retarded people in the HufPo comment gallery. Almost as bad as IMDb. Jesus...

I'm actually enjoying the irony of the fact that I'm getting reviews from some people that are as scathing as anything Shyamalan's ever received.

For the record, he's an arrogant asshole. I on the other hand am a juvenile asshole. There's a difference.

This is the post that got me hooked to your musings Chez. I enjoy it as much now as I did back then. I can't believe that I've been reading DXM for just about 4 years now. I can remember trying to figure out which news outlet you worked for (from your posts, I'm not a total stalker). Good times sir. Thank you!

No, you are arrogant, too, you just deserve to be.

I can see M. Night turning into Uwe Boll right before my eyes. Except Uwe doesn't lose money.

Right, Anon 8:19. Night's a hugely (though inexplicably) successful Hollywood director; I run a website (poorly).

Who deserves to be arrogant?

"This spiteful and poorly written essay was originally written in 2006, reposted in 2008, and now reposted anew. For the gal cowering behind the lame and obvious nom-de-plume of Chez Pazienza, I guess she feels this hit piece must be her masterpiece, her Nightwatch, her Starry Night. "

Whoa. You got served ;D
