Dearth of a Nation

Chase Whiteside is back -- and at this point he should be wearing a cape or something. For those who haven't been following along, Whiteside is the whip-smart young journalist who's now twice exposed the tea baggers and Palinites (who, let's face it, are largely one and the same group) as the painfully uninformed yet astonishingly self-certain dipshits they pretty much are. He's done it through nothing more impressive than simply pointing a camera at them, asking a couple of very respectful and measured questions, then letting them hang themselves with their own ignorance.

It's always entertaining as hell to watch -- so it goes without saying that Whiteside's trip to the April 15th "Tax Day Tea Party" in D.C. is worth taking ten minutes out of your day to watch.

Jesus Christ monkeyballs. Besides commenting on the content, why can't we see content in this 10min form where you let them speak for themselves instead of 8-10 sec MOS bytes and 8-10 minutes of some blowhard on cable news telling us what "the American people" want.

we have an archaic standardized test system that determines/ranks if students may enter certain colleges...why not the same level of administration take place for those of this ilk wanting to procreate?

Stupid people should not be allowed to breed. Or run/work at tv stations.

Wow. Wooooow. These people are idiots. The scary thing is, I KNOW people like this. My own sister bought a gun to get ready for the "revolution" that Glenn Beck said was coming. And when I laughed at her, she told me I was naive.

Hey, better naive than a complete idiot, I say!!

Dear Alanna, regarding your comment "why not the same level of administration take place for those of this ilk wanting to procreate?". Why not? It would be "eugenics", a long-discredited "science" practised, among others, by the Nazis and used to justify the superiority of the "Aryan 'race'". And the gassing of... you know.

Eugenics was discredited because people realised that it's too ready an excuse for genocide.

After all, it is always those in power who set the standards. If Southerners in the forties and fifties had had that power, I bet there would be fewer dark faces in Dixie... But it's not what happened.

That is why no politician in the Western hemisphere would touch your suggestion.

Besides, nobody has ever needed any qualifications -- other than interesting someone else -- to make babies. (Okay, except in China these days. Still.)

(P.s., I hope you don't let the Nazi reference upset you. I am not slinging the word at you!)

They want to brown shirt all the illegal immigrants (let's assume they mean Mexicans in Cali and Arizona), squeeze them all in a train car and ship them back in volume but at the same time won't pay for it.

I am disappointed I didn't hear any it is because of the 'gay agenda'

The scariest thing: Tea Party members are better educated and more successful than the average American.

So here's my idea: if someone refuses to believe they've had they taxes reduced by a certain percentage, they don't get it reduced anymore. Think of it as a "Tea Tax".

Benoit...please don't be offended when I state: Lighten the fuck up ;)

It was tongue-in-cheek.

No, I'm not offended. Nor am I looking to ethnically or educationally-cleanse the world of stupid people. We need balance.

Not only these tea baggers are ignorant idiots who get their cues from Beck and Limbaugh but they are a threatening bunch... This guy from the Ft. Lauderdale Examiner wouldn't even get close to their so called "protest"

So, I guess all that stuff Fox News says about people knowing Beck and Hannity are "entertainment" just doesn't fly now, right?

You don't believe you benefited from the tax cuts? Did you even do your taxes?

And the woman who STILL believes the death panel argument...

I just don't know how you would ever begin to set these people straight, because even if you showed them the sun rose in the east, they'd say you were wrong.

Thanks for sharing that video. I'm going to go take a shower with bleach and a Brillo pad now.

I actually had to turn this off halfway through because I was getting physically ill. I was starting to sweat profusely.
However, I am very impressed with Whiteside. I'd be hard pressed to keep the straight face he does. In fact, I'd be hard pressed from projectile vomiting on these people's shoes.
