Bonus Sunday Sacrilege/Quote of the Day Combo

"Shut the fuck up."

-- Unidentified player at this year's NFL Scouting Combine to Florida Gators star quarterback and painfully sanctimonious evangelical Christian Tim Tebow, after Tebow requested that everyone in the room bow his head in prayer before taking the 12-minute Wonderlic exam

And when you cover your eyeblack with bright, reflective letters, doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose?

Unless, I guess, if your purpose is to be a sanctimonious pain in the ass, in which case - mission accomplished.

I know my beloved Pats seem to be interested in him for some reason, but I really can't figure out why, unless he could be got with a fifth round draft pick. The sanctimony will be beaten out of him pretty quickly in the NFL. While he fit well in Urban Meyer's system, I don't see him as all that bright and neither, evidently, did the Wonderlic exam. Unless your NFL team has a coach, GM, and large bloc of supportive fans who share his particular brand of smug religiosity, I don't see why anyone would waste a quality pick on him.

WV: HOTHYPE: Pretty much what the christianists are spreading about Tebow.

Comment from the link:

He [Tebow] scored a 22 of 50 [on the written portion of the exam]. He should have studied more and prayed less. Something all of America could follow.

i prefer this one (if any):
John 3:17 (King James Version)

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Hey Tebow -- I'll see your John 3:16 and raise you a Matthew 6:5-6.

Douche.

That's the perfect Tim Tebow picture. If you love him, it'll makes you all moist, somewhere. If you hate him, you just want something bad to happen to him. Really bad. Drafted by Detroit bad.

not only did he score a 22 on the test, but that score was one of the lowest ALL TIME for a quarterback.

he's a dumb dumb.

This is a Judeo-Christian nation whereby we respect the Lord Almighty. It's a requirement that is part of the Holy document that our Founding Fathers created with care and guidance. If one reads enough between the lines in our Constitution, one will see the fact that God and Sweet Baby Jesus are the pillars to a functioning, capitalistic democracy. Mr. Tebow was just doing what Madison, Jefferson and Adams would do--all of them would require prayer when and where necessary to ward off Evil -- wherever it may exist.

We rarely see this concept these days. This installed-president shredded the Constitution in order to implement his hard left secular agenda.

But, look at what's happening. Tea Partiers are out there in full Revolution - taking their country back from Evil.

As usual, Bill White is right. I warned of Revolution and now, I am predicting a full-blown success when We The People take our Congress and White House back from the Occupiers.

Amen,
Bill

Blinded by faith?

I'm not sure where you got your info Bill but you are wrong. Dan Marino, Jeff George, Terry Bradshaw and Vince Young have all scored lower than Tebow and so have many others. I'm certainly no Tebow fan but a 22 isn't that bad. A score of 20 is intended to indicate average intelligence.

Go Tim! Your going to get lit up in the NFL!

Actually, Akili Smith from Oregon took the Wonderlic and scored the lowest at "12". He was drafted by the Cincy Bengals and didn't amount to much...

Chez, in my case, posting these comments hosed everything below it on your site. I'm not sure why.
