Quote of the Day

"While we were off, Sarah Palin agreed to do commentary at Fox News, which is actually very similar to her day job -- talking to a baby with Down Syndrome."

-- Bill Maher

At this point I think it's just to see how far this joke can be taken before Sarah runs out of room on her Facebook page.

But it's satire, so it's ok.

Right, Sarah?

Okay, see, unlike the Family Guy gag, Maher's comment is funny. A little cruel, sure--but so is a lot of humor. (Hence Mel Brooks' famous aphorism that "Tragedy is when I cut my finger; comedy is when you walk into an open sewer and die.") Kudos.

Maher is funnier. Scrap that. Maher is funny, and Family Guy isn't.

Chez did you watch this episode? It was pretty good for a few reasons:

1) Spitzer was really good and I was reminded why this guy was on the fast track to the Political Spotlight Nationally (if not for the Client #9 debacle).
2) McFarlane was openly drinking Jack Daniels which was evident by the way he was constantly sipping from his mug.
3) Liberals (of which I am one) are pussies (oh which I am not) and it makes me sick to see how they've squandered such an opportunity.
