You know, I hate this woman as much as any anyone, but there are so many legit reasons to do so. This wearing of a hat is really not one of them. To make something of this is to devalue all the important reasons to be horrified by her, and gives her followers something to legitimately call bullshit on.
They're going to call bullshit regardless. I make fun of Sarah Palin because she's easy to make fun of -- simple as that. I'm not going to waste my time trying to argue with any of her acolytes in a legitimate manner since it wouldn't matter anyway.
Well said Chez! Who gives a shit what they think, you could tell them the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, and if she said otherwise they would swallow it hook line and sinker. Stupidity should be painful, and its time we just calling stupid, stupid!
Sorry Anon 10:27, if the right can call Obama a Nazi because he wants to create universal healthcare I can make fun of Sarah Palin's hat. What we don't want to do is sink down to the rights level of dis-information and hatred, but it does strike me as ironic the political ambitions that both these figures have or had, that resulted in skirting of the written law or just by-passed it altogether.
I think we as a nation are in some deep shit when people get angry at a man who wants to ensure that all American's be provided the best healthcare possible, while at the same time bow down before a women who has been caught in lie after lie and did things during her time in public office whose legality is highly questionable.
Let's just cut right to the chase. Chez. you know of my history with women of questionable sanity, so is it any surprise that I want me some Palin poontang? And yes, I would insist that she wear the hat. And maybe a tie-on beard.
I'm a veteran network news producer and manager, a regular contributor to the Huffington Post, and a writer who's been featured in the New York Observer and the Village Voice. "As a blogger, Chez Pazienza is filled with outrage, passion and insight -- delivered with a distinctive point of view, a wicked sense of humor, and a two-fisted style of prose. In Dead Star Twilight, he turns all these on himself -- and produces a fierce, funny, disturbing, but ultimately uplifting memoir. This is the book A Million Little Pieces dreamed of being."
NICE THINGS SAID ABOUT ME AND THIS SITE BY PEOPLE WHO'VE ACTUALLY ACCOMPLISHED SOMETHING IN LIFE:
"Interesting, unique... generally unassailable points."
-- Chuck Klosterman, best-selling author of Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs and Eating the Dinosaur
"That mad bent towards suicidal honesty that all my favorite people share."
-- David Baerwald, Golden Globe-nominated singer-songwriter
"Cuts through media bullshit like a hot knife through bullshit."
-- Drew Curtis, founder of Fark.com
"Pazienza could be accused of many things... but he could never be faulted for dumbing us down. His glued-shut prose and bawdy metaphors provide a deeply appreciated, and hilarious, literary diversion."
-- Gelf Magazine, "Insolence Is Bliss," June, 2008

All kidding aside, is she mildly retarded? Seriously.
