Quote of the Week

"Everybody should be, frankly, happy (with the continuing, monumental successes of Goldman Sachs). The financial system led us into the crisis and it will lead us out. I've got news for you... If the financial system goes down, our business is going down and, trust me, yours and everyone else's is going down, too."

-- "Darth" Lloyd Blankfein, CEO of Goldman Sachs, in an interview with the London Times

He went on to say that he's "doing God's Work."

I wish I were making this up.

Glory, glory hallelujah!
The mammon marches on!

These people are so out of touch with reality, it's pathetic.

The full article is here:

I defy anyone to make it to page 3 without getting sick. Hell, I started getting sick on page 1, when the phrases "$68m [compensation] in in 2007 alone" and "blue-collar guy" were somehow linked together.

I also recommend this site:

Despite the name, it spends much of its time linking to and commenting on these sorts of articles. A fun piece today is by an economist who claims that recession can't be that bad if products are still being purchased. Swear to God.

I wouldn't waste on second of my life reading an interview with that pile of human refuse. I would however stand in line for a month for one shot at kicking him in the balls.

Has Phil Gramm reminded us lately that it is all in our head?

Wow, that certainly doesn't sound like a threat or anything...

The legal system is to blame for this piece of shit to be still breathing.

I tried coming up with a witty comment but all that came to mind was, "I hope that ass clown gets hit by a bus."
