No, the Other Twilight

We're still a few weeks away from the big Fall Pledge Drive around these parts, but in the interim I'm gonna ask for a minor favor from the regular readers of DXM.

Basically here's the deal: Beginning tonight and for the next couple of days, I'm making a major sales push for my book, Dead Star Twilight. The reason, believe it or not, has nothing to do with money; it has everything to do with creating a spike in sales figures. I realize that this thing's been out for more than a year now and a lot of you have already downloaded and read it -- and to you, I obviously say a very big thank you -- but I know that given my daily numbers, there are plenty of you who have yet to pick up a copy. If you haven't yet read Dead Star Twilight, now's definitely the time.

Suffice it to say that your support could very well lead, at long last, to something very big for your humble narrator. There are a few things that are about to begin happening behind the scenes in regard to the book, and my agent needs all the ammo he can get in his battle to bring a little recognition in this direction. Yeah, I know -- I'm really putting myself out on the line here. But anyone who's been reading this site long enough knows that this book -- as well as (you heard it here first) the potential prequel to come -- means the world to me, both personally and professionally. So if you've read Dead Star Twilight and liked it, tell your friends to buy a copy, or two or three. If you haven't read it yet -- well, for God's sake what are you waiting for?

Come on, Blue Blaze Irregulars. I'm putting out the signal.

To purchase Dead Star Twilight and have a PDF copy immediately downloaded to your computer go here.

I may buy another copy just for the Buckaroo Banzai reference.

If you need any cash, Chez, just come over to our place for a few weeks and I'll teach you the plumbing trade. Your time with me will build character and a respect for life - plus you can make some hard-earned money for this ridiculous lefty blog. You can have the cot in Dale's room. I'm not comfortable with a man sleeping in Kyle's room -- he's been acting funny these days (long story).

I've been wanting to for the longest time, but the exchange rate for me makes it a bit prohibitive. :(

I promise I will this time, though, if you promise to give us (or just me ^_^) a signed copy of the paper version when it comes out. :D

I've enjoyed all of the excerpts a lot, so I suppose now's as good a time as any to actually buy it. Besides, because of the title I'm now secretly hoping there's at least one sparkly abstinence vampire in your past.

I wonder if they'll notice if I print this at work...

Chez, my dear.....just copied your entire post over to my blog, Little Girl with a Big Attitude. My tiny number of followers may not help, but gonna try to get the word out, brotha.

Oh, yeah, and buying another copy for my work-buddy book club. Beats the shit out of my friend's selection of Pride & Prejudice!!!

I think I'll suggest it to some of my Senior High school students by telling them that it is in fact the next book in the Twilight series. By the time they figure it out, they'll be hooked.

As for me, I've been a faithful reader for too long not to give something back. Chez, old buddy, I'm downloading it right now and looking forward to it.

From one struggling writer to another (and really, is there any other kind?) good luck!

Chez, I really enjoy your articulate, provocative, profane, and funny writing. But I'm kind of a luddite when it comes to e-books. Any chance we'll ever see a paper edition? Besides the copies we're all going to print at work.

You're right, I should have bought the book long ago. But obviously, I was waiting for this moment.

Done.

Katstrate -

Buy a ream of paper, print it, punch holes in it, and slap her in a binder. That's what I did. You can read it at work and everybody just thinks you're reading a white paper.

Just bought a copy for Rhonda as a belated birthday present. Can't believe there are fans of yours who haven't bought the book yet!

Potential prequel...potential cool. Do you have a potential working title yet? If not, I'm sure that DXMers would be glad to offer up some potentially helpful suggestions. :)
