Talking Points

So yours truly gets a mention in today's issue of the New York Observer.

Columnist Felix Gillette and I talked for little while a couple of nights ago about the changing face, literally, of the Fox Business Network. His piece is now up on the Observer's website.

By all means, have a look.

The New York Observer: In Recession, Money Honeys Get Company from Grumpy Old Dudes/10.20.09

The photo brings to mind Austin Powers' fembots. Good article in the Observer. I know it's Fox and all, but I find it pretty insulting that they temper the young hot vixens with grumpy old men. Wouldn't it be in everyone's best interest if they just featured people who actually know what the fuck they're talking about when it comes to money and the markets? Geez....

In the article, "In Recession, Money Honeys Get Company From Grumpy Old Dudes" published in The Observer, "Chez Pazienza recently told The Observer. 'But no matter how hard you push that, there are also going to be people who are watching who are out of work. You have to balance that out.'" written by Felix Gillette, which requires some editing.

Talking about "Talking Points", The Observer may have misquoted Chez. Who is watching who? The article suggests that people are watching other unemployed people.

Suggestion:
It should be, "Chez Pazienza recently told The Observer,¹ 'But no matter how hard you push that, there are also going to be people ² watching, ³who are out of work. You have to balance that out.'"

Note:
The quote within a quote uses single apostrophes for double quotes which are not edits.

Edits:
¹ Should be a comma, not a period.
² Remove: "who are".
³ Add comma.
