they also told us who's causing all that cancer. (dammit, Bruce!!)
<3 them.
Hoo boy! Except for the very end (pulling out Kevin MacDonald), he seems less crazy than Glenn Beck! Seriously, he's not quite as stagey!
wow. surreal.
Funny.
I don't recall you, or anyone else on the left, really giving so much as a rat's butt about Beck when he was just radio.
In fact, you didn't care when he was on CNN.
You really only personified him as "the devil" that you have made this simple entertainerout to be when he went to Fox.
Moreover, you didn't start sweating gravy over him until he absolutely rocked the 5 PM slot that hadn't. EVER cracked a million with anyone.
This guy scares you not for what he says, but for the fact that he obviously resonates.
If you strike a tuning fork and stick it up your ass, it'll resonate too.
The fact that people lap it all up is scary. The numbers of people pulling up to that shit-filled trough is, indeed, terrifying. You can't divide his message from the people that will puke it up after stuffing themselves sick on it.
No anon at 3:20 you moron. I personally did not care about him when he was on CNN because he wasn't calling our president a racist. Or a Nazi, or a communist. Or crying and setting up AstroTurf protests. Had he been on CNN I personally would feel the same about him .

Does Glenn Beck really resonate? I mean, has anyone gone to the trouble to just reef on those ear-clappers that are clearly adjacent to a suitable-for-ringing great big hollow space?!?
Now all I need is a man in a fur hat and Russian accent running around, yelling, "I'm covered in bees!"
Note to self... Where can you buy tuning forks?...
I'm going to take a wild leap here, and say that I'd be willing to bet that Dave Foley looks better in drag than Glenn Beck would. Just sayin'.
Also, "anonymous," when Beck was on radio and CNN, I'd never heard of him. Wish that were still true.

You: "This guy scares you not for what he says, but for the fact that he obviously resonates."
Me (and perhaps other "centre-leftists" here): You're absolutely right. What's scary IS that he DOES resonate with some people.
i don't know what's scarier: how they unwittingly predicted the future, or the fact this was 20 years ago. i'm not quite used to this getting old thing yet.
I love Dave Foley. Absolutely one of my favorites. Kids In The Hall was great, but even better, in my opinion, as NewsRadio. Dave Foley AND Phil Hartman? (BY FAR the greatest comic to ever come out of Saturday Night Live besides Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd. Yes, I rank him above Belushi.) MAN, that show even made Andy Dick tolerable! (Of course, watching Phil Hartman making fun of him was what made it funny :) I have the entire show on DVD and still watch it all the time. You have excellent taste, Chez.
