I trust you have a copy of "A Century Ends". Still his best work. Saw him a long time ago in the mid-90s, fantastic songwriter.
This song is so achingly beautiful. I've never had the opportunity to see him live, but just a couple of weeks ago I caught a live concert of his "on demand." The power of the words and music still came through to my living room and brought tears to my eyes. The same goes for "Shine."
I concur, wholeheartedly, with your comment. There's something about his voice that cuts right through...gets me everytime.
Love this song so much. Always makes me miss someone.
God, David Gray... I also loved Lost Songs. 4am is my favorite faster-paced song by him. Time to re-snyc my iPod!
