Quote of the Week (And It's Only Monday)

"We believe that the preamble to the Constitution contains an inarguable truth that we are all endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights, among them life. Liberty, Freedom. And the pursuit of happiness."

Pharmaceutical opiate enthusiast, sex tourist, and de facto leader of the Republican Party Rush Limbaugh, addressing CPAC and apparently unaware that it's the Declaration of Independence which promises "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness," and not the Constitution

The Declaration of Independence enumerates self-evident Truths and unalienable Rights (both capitalized by the authors), but no form of the word "argue" appears in either the Declaration or the US Constitution.

It wouldn't be as annoying if these douchetools didn't insist on draping themselves with the flag and pontificating as if they were Constitutional scholars. At least with the Bible-thumpers you stand a chance of running into one who has actually read the source material...

It's bad enough they try and paint themselves conservative let alone experts on the Constitution.

IIRC, the constitution (specifically the fourteenth amendment) guarantees the life, liberty, and property.

Rush is always Right. I watched some of that CPAC conference and I felt like I was reborn again. Man, you have no idea what it's like to constantly be born over and over. Seriously, I loved seeing Rush telling it like it is: We are now living in a Euro-Socialist weak union. Get ready for high taxes to fund all of this nonsense including health care, education, environmental protections and the advancement of the Gay Agenda. Rush knows that we are going down a slippery slope and he isn't afraid to shout it from the mountain-tops or in this case, a podium at an expensive hotel that caters high-quality salmon to honest conservative thrice- divorced drug addicts. But I love Rush. Everyone at the conference knows he's the true leader of modern conservatism. Ronald Reagan himself passed the torch to Rush years ago. Maybe one day with the help of Jesus, Rush will be president!

God, I liked him better when he was whacked out on opium all the time and eating jello shots from stripers butt cracks. . .is he high right now?
