So Meghan McCain wrote a piece for the Daily Beast lamenting the effect of the election on her ability to find decent men to date.
The good news: It's every bit as glorious as you'd expect.*
The Daily Beast: "Looking for Mr. Far-Right" by Meghan McCain/3.2.09
*And by glorious, I mean really, really dumb.

You can usually tell how dumb a person is by how many times they use the pronoun "I" in an article. By that standard, Meghan McCain is legally brain dead.
I use "I" quite a bit, and I know I'm brain dead.
See?
So... she's turned on by apathetic types?
Since when did Meghan McCain turn into Paris Hilton?
That's funny stuff.
Jesus. A "maverick choice" might be some sunscreen and whole lotta moisturizer. That chick is in her 20s? Daaaaaaang.
Ladies and gentlemen, the definition of vapid, Meghan McCain.
Well you're self-aware, making you at least as smart as Skynet. Actually, that's pretty scary...
Looks like my unwaivering support for Fred Thompson is about to pay off.
Considering all yokels screaming their "support" for McCain (read: blatant racism and borderline treason), if I was her, I would be turned off by them too.
Why do I get the feeling she isn't as bored by "Obama supporters" (read: mandingo black men) as she would have us to believe?
Then again, I have been watching a lot of Everybody Hates Chris, and have developed an irrational attraction to the racist principal with jungle fever.
"So where does that leave me, and who exactly am I attracted to? Let’s just say I’m spending a lot of time writing and even more time with my girlfriends"
I'm getting guy cramps....
I love that she insinuated that her dad is on par with Elvis in terms of fame or notoriety. Riiiight. But, hey, she's bitching, which is apparently what she does "best".
"Let’s just say I’m spending... even more time with my girlfriends."
Maybe you and Mary Cheney can hang out then? I know that her having the father she has probably played hell on her love life too.
Honestly, I read this earlier today and found it somewhat interesting, if not very well written. Don't know if I had ever considered how a major election could effect the social life of a candidate's daughter. And I liked how aware she was that some dudes might just want to add her name to their belt notch simply because of who she is. The story about the guy who wanted to make her "his Cindy" made it worth my time.
"There are things that have been difficult, but nothing quite as tough as dating."
That lined killed me. Was it really the MOST difficult thing?
wow........, I thought it was a joke for the first couple of paragraphs. Seriously, get over thy self.
It's almost if the right is collectively drawing us in; yes, we really are this dimwitted........believe it.....don't worry about us......were all buffoons.......just something to ridicule. OK, perhaps a bit paranoid, but this seems to be a concerted effort on their part.
just start speaking about yourself in third person. always.
Yet, she looks like such a whore. Can't her mommy buy her a man? Does the guy who got Bristol knocked up have an older brother?

She's a Columbia grad, eh? She's just so...empty. Well, Bush managed to grease his way through Yale. I guess part of the selectivity of the Ivy League schools is based on selecting at least a few who can actually pay...
Maybe she should look up Rush Limbaugh, he must be ready for wife #4. Or 5.
I'd have meaningless sex with this relatively attractive windbag. The money shot would worth it alone.
Who cares if she's some older windbag politician's daughter.
Who is this McCain person anyway, didn't they lose some one legged race recently?
Boy, that was hard to read.
She went to Columbia? And yet she writes like an overly-angsty teenager? Hmmm...methinks she needs to study more and forget about dating for awhile.
It's not as bad as it could have been...and there are some interesting observations in the midst of all the narcissism. Not much, but some.
She's probably scared since everyone knows her dad is rapidly going from presidential candidate to Grampa Simpson.
The "my Cindy" thing gives me the creeps. Eww!
I am a person that has always prided myself...
I went to Columbia. Logic and Rhetoric (AKA writin' like an edumacated person) is a required course. I guess she 'dated' the TA to get a passing grade.
I think the "my Cindy" comment must have come from someone who likes robot sex. And finds alternate uses for WD-40.
I understand her position and feelings about this sort of thing, but her ability to express herself, and her writing skills as well, leave much desired.
It is true that her father's name has kind of ruined a lot of the dating pool for her. What is also true is everyone already knew that.
On a more lighthearted note, I can't wait until she's dating some Ron Paul supporter or some non-political joe schmo and complains he's "insane" or something.
That or she'll become a lesbian.
