He Said Twat?

Stephen Colbert continues the recent tradition of Comedy Central stars making a mockery of NBC during interviews. Seriously, Zucker must be locked in his office with his head in his hands by this point.

Wow you can actually see the wave of realization of what he just said wash over his face. Hilarious.

That's funny, because it didn't look like it was an accident to me at all. He didn't look like he blurted anything, it seemed to me like it came out very calmly. I think he knew exactly what he was saying. The only expression I saw on his face was a slight self-aware smirk.

I'll watch it a few more times just to make sure, but I'm pretty sure he knew exactly what he was saying.

He IS Stephen Colbert after all. The man's a fucking genius.

I seriously wish the man would really and truly run for public office. I would vote for him in second if I could. Stewart and Colbert, President and Vice-President in 2020... if only we would be so lucky...

Oh Meredith Viera...How dumb do you have to be to walk into THAT one?

I hope it enters the vernacular, it's been my favorite naughty word since I was eight!

It looked intentional to me. That look was a lot like the delighted mischief on a child's face when they've said something they know is inappropriate. Hilarious and awesome.

Does anybody else just feel completely tapped out at the prospect of a weekend of faux conservative outrage over "it's like the special olympics or something"? Jesus, one day they bitch about him being too remote and academic, then when he says something that every regular guy has said they get the vapors. The country is swirling the drain and they're watching Leno for a gotcha.

Of course, now liberal websites will be forced to comb the archives for every dumb thing Bush said in office, which will require a virtual seti@home of distributed computing power to be comprehensive.

And it will just go round and round... It's depressing.

I'm right ther with you about faux outrage that's coming but
what i plan to do is keep watching this sublime clip of stephen colbert to drown it all out.

Chez, Obama was on Jay Leno's show last night. Where's the outrage? This is proof of the Dominant Liberal Media Culture. Also, can't anyone see that Obama is swinging through liberal California to sell higher taxes to the country? What has this world come to?

KLS said...

Signed on too late, me thinks...No video to support a potentially hysterical faux pas. Sigh. I guess I'll have to try and find it elsewhere unless NBC has made it nearly impossible to locate

Who hasn't twatted?

And what the newest word to be added to the dictionary? Yes, your guess it Twatted.

Well Mr. Wight, at least President Obama wasn't on his ranch clearing brush, hiding from the media and the entire country. What in the world is wrong trying to get your message out to all demographics. I absolutely love the transparency. Outrage? At what?

Oh, and I agree with Kanye, I bet Viera would be a hoot to down a cocktail with. That's twat I'm talkin' about!

Most gay men, I'm guessing...

I've watched this a few times and I'm not sure if that was a joke, or a mistake.

I mean, Colbert is a pretty brilliant guy and all, but even he knows what he can get away with on TV.

kanye said...

Not true, Deacon. I need all of my fingers and most of my toes to count the number of gay men I know who were at one time were married to women.

Stewart/Colbert 20/20 - oh wait, 2020 - whoohoo! I'll get a tattoo for that one!

Has this video been pulled?

It's amazing how some have been slow to catch onto the fact that Colbert and Stewart have made the media their bitch. Now all we need is the revolution/reconstruction at their hands.
