Listening Post

One of the most surprising and inspired musical collaborations ever turned out one of the best albums of the decade.

Here's Loretta Lynn and Jack White with a song that -- and I'll set myself up for plenty of ribbing here -- Jayne and I have done karaoke a couple of times (my voice is passable in a Paul Westerbergian kind of way; Jayne's is just incredible, she could be on Broadway).

It's Portland Oregon.

You couldn't be any worse than the folks that insist on doing Celine Dion songs!
After I did 'A Boy Named Sue' one time on a cruise ship, I had a woman with a voice like a bottlenose dolphin tell me that guys who can't sing choose Johnny Cash songs!

I remember the reaction the first time some folks hear you do 'Wear A Surprise' on the Patio. You sing 'purtier than a $20 whore. :D

I love Jack White and pretty much anything he touches. I knew Jayne could act, but I didn't know she could sing! You 2 make a wonderful pair!
