Flick Off

Sure this comparison's been made more than a few times over the past five weeks -- to say nothing of the last 24 hours -- but I'm just not sure it's ever getting old.

but you're missing the obvious point that, while bubbly and annoying, tracy flick had a far better grasp on what it takes to be student counsel president. hell, she has a better grasp on what it will take to be vice president of alaska-i mean the united states.

p.s. bought dead star yesterday, looking foward to reading it over the weekend!

p.p.s oh, and the flow chart is priceless. *wink*

This is more of telling than it may appear at first. Flick was running against a clueless hock (hunky jock) and a disenfranchised lesbian slacker/anarchist. Given the choices Flick was the best of a bad ballot.

Palin is running against a senator with 22 years experience with working within an system that will certainly not change in the next 8 years, while her running mate is a cancer survivor right on the cusp of the average life span. And HE'S running against a man with high intelligence, vision, understanding of the Constitution and grace.

Palin is the clueless hock, in this scenario, McCain is the angry candidate, and together Obama and Biden are Flick, without the inability to be self aware, the condescension, the self entitlement and the immoral ambition.

ha! I'm with anonymous. . . My first reaction was to think INSTANTANEOUSLY that this was insult to Flick. Seriously. I think a psychotic high schooler from a movie ten years ago is more qualified for the vice-presidency than the actual GOP candidate. She was crazy, but she was coherent.

I'm fully convinced that Palin could never be a believable character in even a halfway decent movie. You couldn't make it up. It's too over the top. All winks and starbursts and shit.

BTW, the flow chart was indeed rule-ish.
