While You Were Out Campaigning...

Time magazine's Mark Halperin has published an Obama campaign release that's just revealing as all hell.

It runs down some of the national and international crises of the past half-century that could've led to candidates canceling one presidential debate or another -- but didn't.

C,

It was a stunt to draw attention to the fact that the Palin bump had bumped.

It was a good one, one that left the Obama camp in a psoition of screaming "We were bipartisan first, we were bipartisan first!"

In the end, it was a stunt.

CNN is reporting that they're trying to postpone the VP debate. It was all about making sure Sarah doesn't break out in tongues on camera.

Wow. We actually had to wipe off the TV after the speech tonight. Have fun, Deus.

Absolutely it was a stunt, although I disagree that it's coming across as an effective one. The Obama camp hasn't been screaming about their reaction to the crisis so much as calmly pointing it out while rather sharply rebuking McCain. “It’s going to be part of the president’s job to be able to deal with more than one thing at once” is a solid dig. So no, this didn't push them into playing defensive.

"Oct 11, 1984 (VP)

Why would a dead rape victim need an abortion?

Just askin'....
