That's What She Said

Watch this pretty startling clip from CNN's The Situation Room this afternoon. Jack Cafferty pulls no punches and says what most of us are thinking when it comes to Sarah Palin, and refuses to allow Wolf Blitzer to defend her.

Watch it, then go read what Jacki Schechner has to say about it. She's equally unwilling to let the media off the hook.

OYE! I want to watch this but my internet is crapping up on me and only playing the first two seconds of the video. Same thing when I'm actually on YouTube too.

I had the same reaction Jackie did: Why the hell is Blitzer making excuses for her? She's cramming a lot? Oh boo-hoo, maybe that's an indication that she isn't anywhere close to ready to be a heartbeat away from being the PRESIDENT OF THE F'ING U. S. OF A!!!

What really surprised me was the disapproving scowl on Katie let's-edit-McCain's-answers-to-make-them-better-even-though-that-violates-our-network's-written-policy Couric's face. Maybe the media is finally getting a clue.

Better make some room on your blog Chez, cause Cafferty will be joining you soon.

By the way, do you have any interesting stories about Cafferty from the American Morning set?

Be afraid, be very afraid. She could be our next VP!

Chez - thank you for posting this - both Jack Cafferty and you are my heros, because both of you are making it so crystal clear that Palin (AND McCain) are NOT the answer and are NOT the direction of where this country should go...and if anyone thinks, after seeing the pathetic attempt from Palin to answer questions that she shouldn't HAVE to cram for, that she should be VP, seriously needs to have their head examined.

@Alex: It's a problem with FF and Flash. Try using IE and you should be able to watch it.

Wow - Caferty was in full-on "Break Shit" mode he was so angry.

I'd kill to see the exchange between those two during the commercial break...

I wish CNN would wise up and give Cafferty his own hour... stick him up against Olberman & O'Reilly (and move Campbell to Larry King's spot...)

Wolf at the end: "That was not her best answer."

No, that was her best answer. That really is the best she can come up with. That's what is so scary.

i love cafferty's disdain, where has this been in the media?

a republican friend said to me yesterday that she would be the Margaret Thatcher of the USA. I gave him a Jim Halpert face and walked away.

which reminds me, why can't my conservative friends grow a pair and write in Ron Paul, or vote Bob Barr. Weak little cockroaches, all of them. Anybody who makes a wolf blitzer for sarah palin need not be counted.

I'm WAY late to the party but... doesn't this answer just remind you of the South Carolina beauty contestant's answer about not being able to locate the U.S. on a map?

I'm REALLY glad McCain didn't pick her to be his VP. Wait a minute...

Whoops, I need to keep up better with your blog! Seems you beat me to that punch and I hadn't even gone that far back yet! At least I'm assured I'm thinking along the same lines as someone so astute...
