I hear there are still some people out there who still think Sarah Palin is the real deal.
That she's not only qualified to be vice president, and possibly president, of the United States, but that she's, in fact, exactly what this nation needs right now.
Even after last night's interview with Charlie Gibson in which she mentioned to a country already embroiled in two wars the possibility of military action against Russia; in which she admitted that she's only been overseas briefly and has never met a head of state; in which she flunked Foreign Policy 101 by not knowing what the Bush Doctrine was; in which she said "nuke-yu-lar" -- twice.
Even after she tied Iraq to 9/11 yesterday during a speech to deploying U.S. troops in Alaska, making a connection even the current administration has backed away from.
After all of this, to say nothing of the McCain camp's recent attempt to turn the laughably contrived lipstick-on-a-pig controversy into some kind of national battle cry, if you're still willing to overlook the obvious and vote for McCain-Palin in November, I have some unfortunate news for you.
You're a moron.
No, really.
After careful consideration, I've come to the conclusion that this isn't one of those cases where I can listen to what you have to say, agree to disagree, and at least console myself with the notion that we simply have a difference of opinion and you're still an okay guy (or girl).
Nope. Not this time.
If you really think that John McCain and Sarah Palin should be the next leaders of this country, there's something seriously fucking wrong with you.
There have only been a couple of times since starting this little experiment of mine that I've drawn a line in the sand and said flat-out that I'm not even willing to consider any dissenting opinion; I rarely believe that my own views are completely bulletproof. But that's exactly what I'm doing, and thinking, now. If you back McCain and Palin, you just don't have a logical leg to stand on -- not after all we've seen and heard lately. Therefore I have to assume you're either batshit crazy or dumb as a box of rocks. Either way, I don't really care much what you have to say. Your opinion's worthless, because it's coming from an idiot -- and I don't even feel like indulging it.
You've been lied to, bullshitted, played for a fool, and even put in harm's way by John McCain and Sarah Palin (well, Palin's handlers actually, since she's too goddamned stupid to do it herself; it's only if she becomes president that you and your family will have to fear for your immediate safety).
There's just no excuse for backing these two clowns. None. Not tired arguments about the dangers of "tax-and-spend" Democrats; not misplaced patriotism; not submission to a horseshit culture war incited merely for the sake of riling up the craziest 3% of this country; not fear of terrorism drum-beaten into your head in an effort to scare you into keeping in power the party that tries to monopolize love-of-country and which refuses to discipline the mendacious criminals within its ranks. Nothing.
Do yourself, the country, and the world a favor and throw your all-important support behind someone -- anyone really -- besides McCain and that dingbat Palin.
If you can't do that, then stay the hell home on election day since you're borderline retarded and should be ineligible to vote anyway.
And if you can't do that, then screw it -- I'll see you at the voting booths.
And so will a lot of other people not as dumb as you.

Precisely. I've tried to wrap my head around it, but there is exactly no way to justify voting for the old man and his hockey mom. Anyone who votes for them is insane.
Does anyone remember the chart that showed the average IQ of a state and how they voted in 2004? Some of the states that voted for Bush were borderline retarded based on IQ.
I certainly don't expect to agree with everyone either.
The people defending this McCain-Palin candidacy are either (1) complete RNC tools or (2) retarded. It's that simple.
There's nothing more I can really add to that. Well done, sir.
I agree... I just can't deal with it anymore. I really do not understand how you can have a soul (and an EDUCATION for christ's sake) and vote for these two clowns. I cannot entertain these opinions anymore because it is just so clear that 1) they are LYING to you 2) they DO NOT care about you 3) your life will be WORSE if they are in office.
Fuck, Chez. FUUUUUUUCK!
A
President, shmesident. Let's talk about what really matters here: she's giving hockey moms a bad name.
As a red-blooded, hockey-loving Canadian boy, this offends me. Hockey moms are the lifeblood of my nation, and they are being dragged through the mud by association with this imbecile Palin.
Americans. Seriously, don't you ever think of anyone but yourselves? Can't you see how much this election matters to those around you, too?
I completely agree with you but we have to try to be more careful and not insult these dumb asses (I know it's hard). These types of people are more than willing to vote out of spite... just because you called them "idiot" and come off like you are better than them... which you are. As long as we keep making ourselves out to be more evolved than these hicks, they will continue to vote Republican. We have to pretend to relate to them the way Republicans do. We should lie to them and win their votes, then do whatever the fuck we like ones in we are in the white house. They would much prefer deceitfulness than a government that is realistic and straight up.
I keep having this daydream of Barack Obama bending Sarah Palin over the presidential desk shouting, "I'm here to change your mission from God!"
Afterward, because of his support for the campaign, Bill Clinton and Palin disappear into the Oval Office.
Is it wrong that I can only think of the governor of Alaska in terms of being a slut?
I mean, she obviously didn't get where she is because she's qualified for anything.
Enough holding back, Chez, now tell us how you really feel!
So how then does one convince the people of the earth...those morons...that they're horribly wrong in supporting McPalin without being elitist and alienating them? Or do you just get them collectively drunk and schedule a NASCAR marathon on pay-per-view for voting day, hoping they forget and fail to show? Short of dragging every Dem aligned voter out to the polls, I don't see anything that can be done short of hammering home the lies, over and over.
I can see the headline now:
LEFTY BLOGGER WANTS TO DENY TRIG PALIN THE RIGHT TO VOTE.
The really sad thing is that I'm not a Lefty. I hate hippies and despise the extreme left as much as the extreme right. But this to me is SO clear-cut.
These people are dangerous, incompetent idiots -- and I can't abide that nor do I want to see the country go through it. It terrifies me.
Well said!
I have started talking to people at work, it is now my litmus test, if you vote McCain I want nothing to do with you. I have been able to cross like 4 people off my list, and I think I am better for it.
Morons~
That's democracy. The people get the government they deserve.
Which would be fine and (mostly karmic) as long as the democracy in question minds its own business.
This is why the rest of the world is watching this campaign.
Your Stay-at-Home-Idiots movement, now THAT'S a campaign I can get behind.
P.S. You're welcome for the WaPo link, Chez. :-D
I saw an interview on CNN this morning with a guy in Texas who was matter of factly talking about "riding out Ike" with his family in his soon to be probably be destroyed house. The proper response would have been for the reporter to sucker punch him and call him a fucking idiot for putting his whole family in danger. But he just nodded and smiled and wished him luck. Somehow this little incident evoked the whole Palin thing for me. Half of America needs to be bitch slapped and called out for being morons. But it never happens. The idiocy is given equal weight with reason now.
A-fucking-men. What's scary is that I know some of the idiots who are being sucked into the vortex of stupidity. I don't talk to them very much anymore.
Overall, well said, indeed--this is getting hella forwarded.
Worse than the zealous, "conservative fundamentalists", who would follow their party up Satan's asshole if Rove called it a turnpike , are the faux feminist, quasi-democratic, hysterical Hillary supporters who are throwing their support behind McCain by vowing to outright vote for him or by not voting at all. These are the "batshit crazies" that deserve the most of our ire. No amount of corporal punishment is too great for anyone who would betray their fundamental beliefs by sacrificing the futures of their children and their neighbor's children out of pure spite and vindictiveness...no amount.
@aaron
"just get them collectively drunk and schedule a NASCAR marathon on pay-per-view for voting day"
You know. Add and all day marathon of big bowl football and you may have something here. Give the idiots something more entertaining (to them) than going to the voting booths. It wouldn't be denying their vote because if they have an IQ high enough to realize what's is at stake can record the games and still go vote. But, for the rest, they'll say screw it and watch the game/race.
Now, what would it take to bribe two networks to do this...
Chez, this may have been the best posting in history. If the Republicans win this one, I may need to remove myself from society. After the last two Presidential elections I'll never again underestimate the stupidity of the American public, so I'm still very frightened.
Well I nearly got into a fistfight a my gym with someone over McCain/Palin. In the interests of not being thrown out, I made myself apologize to him for getting "heated." He said, That's okay, people have different opinions, which almost made me go after him again.
I'm no longer even charitable about McCain. The guy was 3rd from the bottom -- the bottom -- of his class at the Naval Academy. Everyone one of his superior offices gave him bad ratings. He's not very smart. He's not very capable. His claim to fame is that he crashed his plane and got captured. He's been dining off his former prisoner status for decades. He's an adulterer. He should have been removed from the Senate for the Keating 5 incident. There's evidence that he used his senate office to cover for his wife's illegal drug procurement (poor Cindy). And this, this man should be president?
I'm so sick and tired of having a dim bulb in the White House. Why can't we have the best and the brightest -- for a change?
The choice of Palin was pretty much a calculated move from the start for a couple of different reasons. It's obviously a choice meant to energize the Christian demonionist.. er dominionist base that the GOP has relied upon for the past 28 years. Before the selection, the Christian righteous had been giving out a collective 'meh' towards the McCain candidacy. Now its all "she's awesome!!!11!" and "home-run!!eleventy!". And that doesn't consider the fringe that are praying for the Lord to smite his McCain-ness in order to elevate Palin to the the position of High Priestess of the Christian States of America.. er, President.
The other half of her nomination is that it was some pretty good (I'll admit) political sleight of hand. Palin was on no one's radar leading up to the convention, and therefore could be packaged as being an "outsider" and whatnot. In addition, her name and image was mostly clean outside of the backwaters of Alaska. The media and Obama camp had to play catch up in the vetting process, while the GOP circled the wagons during this process and went to the tired canard of "liberal media" whenever the media didn't carry their water. Not to mention their making mountains of molehills out of innocuous Obama comments like lipstick on a pig.
Re: Anonymous @ 1:20 PM. It's funny because I have a pet theory that Palin would play the role of the Whore of Babylon if elevated to the Oval Orifice.. er.. Office. But I don't believe in that eschatology crap.
Don't dismiss McCain supporters as crazy or stupid. I work with two dozen well-educated professionals, and probably more than half of them will vote McCain-Palin. When I point out that McCain or Palin are lying, they simply say that all politicians lie. They see nothing wrong with that. Or with imposing ourselves on the world to get oil. Or with all sorts of other people losing their jobs and homes.
A lot of people see life in terms of winners and losers. They respect winners, and want to ally themselves with winners, and with a lot of help from the corporate media, the Republicans always seem to win.
This is perfect, Chez.
Usually I can always see both sides of an argument and can empathize with anyone, but in this case, I just have no respect for anyone too dumb or too uneducated to understand what damage electing these two to office would do. Or anyone who actually agrees with them. I'm so frustrated it brings me to tears sometimes.
Oh man.
Hey guys, I'm kind of going off the subject here, but I saw that post earlier about the guy who won't evacuate from Ike and I had to share some tidbit.
I live in Houston, and I am also not evacuating (although I live closer to downtown and not particularly close to the coast) and have been keeping an eye on the local news to see if there are any new developments. Last night, there was shown a woman pushing a baby carriage along galveston beach. When asked why, under mandatory evacuation, she had chosen to stay with her child (and the other 5 that soon came into view) she replied, "Because God told me the Hurricane would move east and we would be fine."
The reporter just kind of nodded and asked some more questions, and I stood with my jaw slacked.
God bless Texas, eh?
Apart from that, wonderful work Chez. I've been reading this since I first saw a Pajiba link quite a while back. Your work has improved constantly but was great from day one.
Keep it up. We need a voice like yours.
Donal made a very good point. There are a number of educated people who will vote McCain-Palin. As long as they think they'll do okay, they'll vote that way. And a lot of them will still do okay.
How many people are employed in the Defense industry? But I digress.
We'd like to change the minds of everyone who will vote republican this election, but it's not possible. Whose minds can't be changed? Christian fundamentalists, defence contractors, lobbyists, businessmen in league with the neocons, and those who really would not benefit from a Democratic win. In the short term, anyway.
No, maybe the people whose minds can be changed are those who believe that this is the same Republican party they or their parents grew up with back in the day when policies could be studied and compared using reason. Maybe those folks should be reminded that those Republicans don't run the show any more. Today's Republicans, the Neocons, have only their own interests at heart, they campaign to win (not to govern sensibly), they are in bed with big oil, and in no way do they resemble plain-talking, common-sense folk.
No, this ain't your Daddy's Republican party. It's been hijacked by a bunch of rich, elitist con artists, without a plan to help the country. They're the ones who are "all hat and no horse".
So strangely enough, kicking McPalin to the curb could be promoted as a move to clean house and restore the GOP to its original position of respect as a national party.
On behalf of the McCain campaign I would like to thank you for this post.
When undecided voters see the Obama supporters hate and intolerance, the easier it will be to back away from Obama.
It would seem like a counter productive strategy to let your emotions run amuck, but since you are so smart it must be the best thing to do.
Chez,
You are so very right. During the Democratic Convention, Obama said that the McCain camp would try to make this very big election about small things, and I'm sure he was referring to the "fishing for sexism" that's currently going on, as well as the previous lapel pin stupidity. Still, we have a whole demographic of Americans saying that we are not yet ready for a black man to be president, ignoring the fact that we are more than ready for a good man to be president.
I consider myself more of a leftist when given a choice between the two, based simply on my hatred of the Republican party and how it manages to pander votes by appealing to the lowest common denominator in uneducated Americans, as well as the educated "rich-to-be-richer" vote. I agree -- most people who will be voting for this party and these candidates really are voting for the absolutely wrong reasons. It's pretty sad that someone can run on a "Evolution education, global warming, abstinence only contraception, anti-abortion and anti-gay" platform instead of a real one.
Smoke and mirrors... I'm scared shitless that these douche bags are actually going to win. You and I may end up burned at the stake.
IQ test was a hoax.
http://www.snopes.com/politics/ballot/stateiq.asp
There's stupid, and then there's stupid and dangerous.
These people are stupid and dangerous. Hoss, try to forgive us if you consider that position intolerant.
Nope. Sorry, Hoss. You don't get to pull that crap.
The McCain camp has done nothing but try to rip the country's classes, sexes and cultures apart through lies and the usual underhanded machinations, compliments of the worst factions of the GOP.
It does this and then, cleverly, tries to turn it around say, "Look, see how angry and hateful those liberals are?" when someone rightfully gets pissed.
Besides, what part of me not valuing your opinion don't you understand?
I couldn't have said it better, Chez. Wait to go.
I live in a Red state down South, and I've gotten used to the fact that the heads of a white-trash family of 7 who live in a trailer and support their brood off $25K a year will vote Republican because they believe Republicans are God-fearing, pro-life, pro-gun theocrats.
What I DO NOT UNDERSTAND is how anyone with - at a minimum - a functioning brain stem can vote for McPalin. I do not understand it at all. Yet I work with white-collar, graduate degree-holding, literate individuals that are in love with the Republican ticket because they somehow identify with McCain (he's experienced! he was in the military!) and Palin (she's a parent! she's a self-starter!). It makes me want to bust a cap in someone's ass.
Karen
Damn! You know it's bad when Chez won't write me off despite my occasionally fervent defence of my "2,000-year-old superstition" but the McCain-Palin supporters get the "ultimate hand"
I myself wonder about the intelligence of such folks, but I'll keep talking to them anyway. I hate to given up on even what seems a hopeless case of the stupids.
You know about the war with Russia thing.. She's just an old fashioned small town gal is all.Living under the constant fear of mutually assured destruction is as American as apple pie. It was good enough for our parents and.. you know what? Fuck it.War to reignite all those old fears from the Cold War you psycho bitch. I hope you get trampled to death by a moose.
In this magnificient country of ours, we all have the right to say and do what we choose. You have chosen to say what you think on this matter (ad nauseum). I have the right to stop reading it. Good luck to all the Obama supporters out there, I sincerely hope you're right. I will no longer be a reader of this "experiemnt". Have fun flaming me in the following posts.
Nice bitch slap on Hoss.
How about a little habeas corpus where you show that he ever posted that he would vote for McCain, or even that he supported him? I only saw questions. Tough questions, never answered, but no direct quote supporting McCain.
You may have infered his support.
Chez, while I completely agree with you, I'm not so sure you aren't breaking #2 on Robert Creamer's advice that you posted on.
I get the need to rant about people who still believe neocon republicans are the way to go after the past eight years, but is this productive?
As steve and donal said, there are some folks whose minds can't be changed because of their fundamentalist religious beliefs or because of short term business interests. But since the democrat camp has allowed itself to be defined by the republicans, ranting just plays into their strategy. They can point out to the swing voters, "see? they think you're morons".
While it amazes me that people don't know better, they sometimes just don't. They grew up that way, they don't have access to information, they lack empathy, etc.
There are just as many kooks online as there are reputable sites so they kinda cancel each other out if you don't know what to believe. The other side is really good at spin and at telling a story, remeber that.
Maybe we just need to keep repeating the facts, with force and passion and reason, but calling someone a moron kinda predisposes them to not listen to you.
I keep believing that people can't vote their values if they're broke. But somebody recently pointed out to me that Maslow's heirarchy of needs does explain the republican wins of the last years since what the neocons are selling shilling is security. People want to feel secure, and Karl Rove portraits the Democrats as a threat to their way of life. If we can convince people that Obama will not take away their right to worship etc, we can calm down and actually discuss issues
You may have noticed that when I posted the Creamer link I pretty much made it clear that I'm not very good at #2 on his list.
"Maybe we just need to keep repeating the facts, with force and passion and reason,"
+1
And stop the inbreeding. Chez links to votar, votar references huffy, etc.
You need to brainstorm where undecideds hang out,and then assign people to go there and influence them.
Doesn't mean you can't try.
We are all works in progress...
Don't try too much though, 'cause if it weren't for blogs like yours and the daily show, a few elitist liberals south of the border would just have to give up on the U.S.
cheers!
You need to brainstorm where undecideds hang out,and then assign people to go there and influence them.
I don't think that undecideds really "hang out" political wise on the net. at most, they will go to a yahoo news link when they check thier mail. how could you not get an opinion one way or another if you were even a tiny bit informed, even if it is Rep. misinformation.
Those with opinions go where they can read and revel in others agreeing with them. then they go troll the "OTHER SIDE" untill they get tired of it and come back for a recharge.
I've dropped friends from my facebook account who show that they support Mccain/Palin.
(Maybe that's a sadder commentary on my social life than it is the election...)
i am friends with a few republicans. one of them [a female] said in re palin: she's beautiful. i'd fuck her. but she's a fool. and he's a lying ass. i CAN'T vote for them. they are morons. i'm voting for ron paul.
huh. even the most rabid agree that mccain/palin are awful.
"Think for yourselves and let others enjoy the privilege to do so, too."
-Voltaire
I came to the same moment the day after palin's RNC speech. It happened when a friend of mine called me up to tell me her new favorite person was Palin.
I flipped out on her, saying much I cannot remember, telling her she was duped.
I realized that it was finally and utterly over. There is now absolutely no defense for voting republican. I am down with the paulites, the socialists, the dems, the greens, the nadarites, all those crazy bastards, but republican? There is just no excuse left. They have created a farce which (somehow!!) goes beyond dubya.
They have made mockery of mockery. Wait a minute, Chez, are you pulling the strings on the mccain campaign??
Thanks (for the umpteenth time) for putting my thoughts into better words then I could imagine.
The BBC was interviewing people in Las Vegas, including a 71-year-old woman at the slot machines at The Orleans hotel (yup, the BBC picked one of the classy joints). The woman said something along the lines of, "Oh, I'd have voted for Obama if he picked Hillary. I love Hillary. But that Sarah Palin is feisty, so I think I'm gonna vote for McCain!"
I wanted to hop on a plane to Vegas just to hit this woman on the head with a blunt object.
I'm a Canadian (political science major) and another person watching this election from outside the U.S.
Believe me, the rest of the world IS watching this election with trepidation, and after Palin's remarks about using military action against Russia, a tinge of fear.
The Palin nomination was absolutely jaw dropping to many people in the world. American politics are a world apart for sure. I just don't get it, if someone like Palin was set to be a cabinet minister up here there would be a fantastic hue and cry. I think the biggest problem is the newsmedia, which has simply failed Americans.
Huffy?
I haven't ridden one of those since I was in eighth grade. I built my own, mostly out of stolen parts. Those are fun little bikes.
But anyway, here's this little tidbit: While I think it is best not to divulge the details, I will say here and now that among my various vocations, I am an educator at the college level. Today, in as neutral a way as possible, I asked my class simply if they have registered to vote. The response was unanimous, and it became clear that they had all registered very recently, in preparation for this election. Because it is not appropriate for me to use that forum for political discourse, I did not ask any questions about their preferences, but I really didn't have to.
I do not believe this demographic, which gets the bulk of its "news" in the form of text messages from their friends, is well represented in the polls that show this race to be so tight. No one is cold-calling them at home from CNN or Reuters or Gallup.
There is a vast army of young, eager, and enthusiastic new voters out there who, inexplicably, appear to have a wisdom that somehow escapes their more experienced elders. And they are embarrassed by what they are witnessing.
There may be hope. Maybe. Just maybe.
rory,
don't blame the feckless and irresponsible american media.
it is the american people that have failed. My jaw hit the floor like a ton of bricks when she said "in what respect charlie?" about the bush doctrine.
I am so shocked, saddened, angry, stunned, fuck this place. we used to be great.
John McCain's ads are LIES. Here's the video proof.
Obama 08
idiocy is contagious and canada has caught the stupid bug. the worst federal government, possibly ever, is leading in the polls for re-election... an election they just called which the majority of canadians said they didn't want or need.
so please, get well soon and send us the cure.
Even the morons turning against McCain. First Paris Hilton, former runner-up for Most Vapid Person In Existence, fires a shot across McCain's bow for the "Celebrity" ad. Now McCain's finally been subjected to serious media scrutiny and faced demands that he take responsibility for his lies... on The View, a program once best known for having a host too stupid to know if the Earth is flat.
Both Paris and The View were once pinnacles of the dumbest television had to offer, and even they have stood up to McCain. This is a very good sign.
Oh, and I'd just like to point out that the person on The View who asked McCain about Roe vs. Wade was Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who has argued for creationism and opposed abortion even in the case of incest and marriage. Hasselbeck joined The View after being famous as a Survivor contestant, for God's sake. She's one of the dumbest people currently working for any television channel that doesn't have Fox in its name. That is who started grilling McCain about abortion. Even the idiots are jumping ship.
I have said for years, repeatedly, that Republicans are either greedy rich people who want to secure their own wealth, or moronic dupes. Nothing I have ever seen has changed my opinion on that.
I've never voted. Yeah, yeah, I know. Heck, I wasn't even registered until six or seven years ago and I've been able to vote for almost twenty. And I was fine with that, until the gore/bush election in which I hadn't voted either.
Now, given this election, I'm *really* not fine with it, and will not only vote hard, but may even encourage others to do so.
@Izar
That makes sense. The greedy rich people* influence the moronic dupes and they all vote together to put more greedy rich people into office so they can put more greedy rich people into positions of power.
*Not all grp have malicious intent and a lack of ethics, so don't be offended if you just happen to like money.
Racism. Plain and simple.
Some would knowing rather vote for a 'ticket from hell'; knowing fully they could destroy this country and cause more havoc in this unstable world then vote for a Black man.
It's pathetic. This race has swung open the door to all our closet racists.
Instead of clinging to the lies perpetrated by the Republicans. Just be honest. You are not ready for an intelligent, diplomatic, worldly gentlemen who happens to be Black. You would rather put the future of this country in the hands of an idiot and his bimbo.
Very sad commentary about America, isn't it?
I'd like to think that an unwillingness to vote for a black candidate has nothing to do with the neck-and-neck situation at the polls.
But McCain and Palin are so worthless that I'm not so sure anymore. Sad indeed.
First off I'm not American so I apologize for "butting in with my two bit foreign opinion" on "your" election but just what the hell are you guys thinking...
Coming from a country where 51% of the population voted in a president based on superficial values (I shit you not some people living in villages voted for him based on the fact that he sported a mean mustache), racism masquerading as patriotism and an absence of education (political or otherwise) let me enlighten you on the consequences of your actions…
It’ll suck and I mean really, really suck and there won’t be any silver lining, there won’t be pot of gold there’ll just be suck. The things you think are bad now will just get worse, the cronyism and extremist thought (religious, racial and sexist) that have been gestating quite comfortably over the last eight years will really show its fullest capabilities. Any act of defiance or protest will be deemed unpatriotic and your pliant media will happily comply, you may think this is happening now but let me tell you - you ain’t seen nothing yet. You won’t even have the quiet satisfaction that goes with an “I fucking told you so you stupid fucking dumb cunts” because you realize that you are stuck in the same shit as they are and everybody else (i.e.-the rest of the world) lumps you in with those morons.
We’ve seen this here time and time again and are too stupid to learn but then again we do have ballot stuffing at gun point, blatant corruption at voting booths, intimidation, actual violence, relay voting (where someone enters the booth with you to ensure that you are voting the “right” way) to contend with as well. You guys truly have a choice and it’s a choice that will affect everyone, everywhere. In that respect you guys have the most powerful vote in the history of the Democratic/electoral system and the awesome responsibility of safeguarding the future for the planet’s next generation so for fucks sake please don’t let it go to waste.
Chez, you say you are not good at convincing others of the dangers of a McPalin administration but suck it up and just try (and by that I mean resist the temptation to punch them in the throat when they offer a rebuttal) but for every ten undecided’s you talk to who may vote for them, even if you manage to convince just one to change their minds you would have indirectly converted others as well. Now multiply that by all democrats doing that and you’ve got at least one million votes that in a tight election like this may make the difference.
I beg you please do this, if not for yourselves then for your non US readers…
Btw “The McPalin Administration” has a great ring to it – it’s brash, colorful, totally devoid of any substance and run by corporates. Oh and it’s basically composed of old meat and bits of gristle from the extremities (which may or may not be moose)
Fucking awesome.
Did anyone see the YouTube peice that talked about McCains medical records needing to be released? The odds of him surviving from melanoma aren't good, which means the Palin would be president; the lobbyists would be anyway. This is serious business, and I wonder why so many refuse to "get it." Is Obamas' race that big a deal in 2008? If he can drive this country out of the ditch it's in, I'd vote for him if had polka-dots!
And Bill Ayers who blew up the Pentagon's friend and going to a church that awarded Louis Farraghan an award for his hatred of Jews and whites has a better candidate, socialist. Hitler was a socialist. Was he a good man by your standards. Why punish the skinheads when you will have a socialist who will be rich and I will be 80 and die poor but I was always honest. HONESTY STINKS.
