Friday Fun: Whose voice does Sarah Palin's more closely resemble?
Edie McClurg as "Grace" in Ferris Bueller's Day Off (as suggested by Bob Cesca).
South Park's Principal Victoria (as suggested by Votar).

I have been trying to pin down the voice as well. Here's what I came up with http://imrubberyourglue.blogspot.com/2008/09/i-have-been-trying-to-put-my-finger-on.html
Principal Victoria. She comes from a perpetually cold small town, doesn't know anything about anything, and is easy to laugh at.
I woke up to the Charles Gibson highlights this morning, and it truly was a Good Morning (America).
Oh, voices...hmm. Still with Principal Victoria on this one.
I'm gonna have to go with Principal Victoria on this one. Mostly because Edie McClurg in Ferris Beuller's day off is so spot-on like my mom. My mom's too sweet to be Sarah Palin.
ok, i admit, my first thought was mrs. garrett from facts of life, which after looking for a few images, made me completely rethink the comparison. (although palin's voice is as mind-numbing).
then i thought, kate jackson in charlie's angels when she had to disguise herself as a nerdy reporter or scientist (you know the episode). i looked and looked for an image to link to and as i clicked through the pages of charlie's angels images i realized they were (kate, jaclyn, farrah, cheryl, shelly) far more gorgeous than palin could ever think of being. i'll smoke a turd in hell for the mere thought of comparing them. i realize that. maybe bristol and i can share one after she's hatched that redneck bebe.
so, in an effort to make at least SOME sort of visual comparison i offer the following: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/77/Saturno_devorando_a_sus_hijos.jpg
happiest of fridays friends.
I think she sounds just like Karl Rove.
Carol in Indiana
Whenever I hear her talk all I can hear is the voice of my crazy grandmother who listens to televangelists and doubts the Holocaust.
Maybe she's a clone.

Actually Edie's 80's sitcom connection is Mrs. Poole from the Hogan Family. And I'm going to abstain from voting since I can't listen to Sarah's voice long enough without my ears bleeding to make an appropriate comparison.
Try to say it real fast: Edie's 80's, Edie's 80's, Edie's 80's
Principal Victoria, definitely. Though she'll sound like Grace in about 10 more years, once she gets the older woman warble going at full tilt.

Not sure. All I know is I thought I was going to have a seizure at work today because I had this running through my head on repeat:
"In what regard, Charlie?"
So, no one else thinks she sounds like Marge Simpson but me?
she sounds like a blues brothers... We're on a mission from God
