Stewart had me in a satisfied spasm of hysterical glee last night. It was brilliant! It could definitely be viewed as a public service for which he deserves some type of medal.
An interesting side-note from public radio this morning. Do you know why young Mr. Palin is going to serve his country in Iraq? Because the judge gave him the choice of jail or military. How nice.
I just watched the entire episode online with my 11 year old daughter. After watching all the reversals, the truth about them standing for nothing, she looked at me and asked if we could move to Europe if they won.
When politicians scare and depress, rather than bore the shit out of children, this is a truly terrifying time.
(By the way, we're non-religious homeschoolers and gun owners. And still scared shitless of the republicans!)
charly gordon: Sorry, still at work and haven't found a url yet. It was something I heard, not read (I believe it was public radio)... and I haven't successfully retraced my steps.
I have found internet chatter on it, but not a legitimate news report - yet. I'll keep looking. Sorry to keep you waiting.
Charly Gordon- Sorry to be so late in getting back to you; don't even know if you'll still check back on this thread.
I'm not including a url, but a reference to the young Mister Palin's (alleged) drug use is on Gawker ... the source, I believe, is the Enquirer. Not sure if that will still intrigue you!

"As a blogger, Chez Pazienza is filled with outrage, passion and insight -- delivered with a distinctive point of view, a wicked sense of humor, and a two-fisted style of prose. In Dead Star Twilight, he turns all these on himself -- and produces a fierce, funny, disturbing, but ultimately uplifting memoir. This is the book A Million Little Pieces dreamed of being."

Chez,
I'm so glad you posted this - I watched this segment a few times and made sure a few other people saw it too.
It should only get better tonight when they show the "facts" about Palin tonight.

Is that reason #400 through #500 why Jon Stewart is the fucking man?
Media, Politics, and a lot of other things are so 2 faced, biased, and completely lack objectivity.

i'm not finding anything like the story you mentioned about track palin.
have you got a URL?
Finally saw the show...I am speechless. It was just...so...perfect.
And when I saw that O'Reilly was talking about Jamie-Lynn Spears, of all people, my mind exploded from all the meta-hypocrisy.

It does make me a little sad that some of the best journalism in America today is being done by a TV show on Comedy Central.
The tone in "papa bear's" voice is not disdain; it's jealousy at the fact that he couldn't do the impregnating.
Thinly veiled, but it's there.
Charly Gordon-
