Two words: MATT DAMON!

I loved him before, but now...Wow. If they'd put a camera and mic to my face, those are the exact sentiments that would have come out. It is terrifying to think of the words "President Palin" and I hope to hell all they ever are is theoretical.

Wow. He pretty much knocked that out of the park. Can Obama use that as a PSA?

i read on another site some commenters getting all annoyed that 'a celebrity' is speaking politics...but what people are failing to notice is that EVERYONE should be speaking politics!! every single american of a voting age should have something to say about this election. i wouldn't even mind hearing a celebrity who supports palin come out and say something as intelligent and straight forward as this. (crickets chirping...)

If I'm the GOP, I want the Obama campaign to run that clip every single day between now and November 4.

First off, it features a Hollywood celebrity who doesn't exactly drip with gravitas himself. By running Matt Damon out there, you are tossing the "Hollywood elite" hanging curveball right down the center of the plate for McCain.

The numbers are clear -- by focusing so intently on Palin, you are driving undecided women to McCain, AND reducing Obama to running against McCain's VP. How in the world does that make sense? It allows McCain to rise above the fray, and look Presidential without even trying. If you want to know why the Obama campaign has been off message for the last 12 days, this is why. The Democrats simply have to shake off Palin Derangement Syndrome, and focus on the top of the ticket. From all appearances, though, it doesn't look like you will be able to pull it off.

Wow...just wow...Matt Damon...I will actually have to vote democrat this election...not sure about the taxes thing. Hearing a lot of horror stories about more debt. Not that we didn't have a TON of it to begin with but woooshh. Gotta vote against the Mouseketeer.

Maxpurr9 you are absolutely right! If there ever was a time to get bent out of shape and speak up, this is it! Who cares if the guy is an actor, he obviously has a brain. He used genuine arguments to prove his point, something that connot be said for many of the Republican demaguoges that fill your screen daily.

You can be sure as shit that if Hollywood was for the Republicans instead of the Democrats, that they wouldn't be shouting their constant drivel about how celebrities and actors shouldn't talk about politics.

Thy have enough damn right to talk about politics as I do.

In Hollywood, you can tell the intelligent actors from the stupid ones; the Intelligent ones are outspoken Democrats, while the stupid ones are Scientologists.

And excuse me, but wasn't it the Republicans who had a former actor elected president a few years ago.

Yet another reason I think Matt Damon is rad. One of the smartest and coolest actors out there. Anyone who played Dungeons & Dragons is a good guy in my book. Not to mention that little award he won with his first script... what was it called again, an oscar meier, or something?

Sorry, I'm a bit stressed out. I'm trying to quit smoking and this is my second day without a cigarette.

Hey, he checked the "actuary tables" himself.
I'm guessing he got someone else to write the math-centric parts of Good Will Hunting.

Matt Damon and people's personal feelings toward him regardless, everything he said is right on the money and believe me, it's what the rest of the world sure as shit is thinking.
