Reading is Fundamental

Yesterday's repost of the piece dealing with my experiences during Hurricane Andrew had a surprising and somewhat unintended consequence: I got a sudden spike in book sales.

So, since I'm eager for as many people to read my little memoir as possible, I figured I'd take this opportunity to once again remind everyone that Dead Star Twilight is available for download by clicking the link to the right.

For those unfamiliar with the story, click the links below; they outline the basics as well as feature extended excerpts from the book and some of the music featured within it. It's basically everything you need to know to get started.

(Welcome to the Monkey House/6.4.07)

(The Ex Files/6.7.07)

(Imperfect Strangers/8.30.07)

(With Love and Resentment, Your Past/9.5.07)

(You Can't Go Home Again/4.5.08)

(The Power and the Gory/4.7.08)

(The Ultimate Listening Post/4.7.08)

(Dead Star Twilight/4.7.08)

you got a spike in sales because people could see that you can really, really write. Again.

Your repost gave me nightmares. Seriously.

This is a good thing, only because you paint that good of a picture.

Cheers.

chez

been an avid reader for about a year and bought dead star twilight several months back.

i am constantly struck by your quality of writing and how you convey your emotions.

i'm going thru some similar shit in my own life right now, and i can not express how much perspective reading your writings have given me.

i feel like there's a lot of similarity b/w us, judging from your interests and attitudes (i'm also from south florida; employed in media, and a tremendous music fanatic, particularly electronic) and going back over your previous writings has helped me through many dark times this year.

in short:
Thank you, Chez. Thank you so much. Keep up the great work.

Honestly, thank you so much. You have no idea how much the kind words mean. I'm really humbled.
