today, my mom and i were listening to jeff buckley's beautiful version of "hallelujah," which makes both of us cry. those lyrics!

My utter favourite Buckley song. The way it builds is just sublime. You're quite correct: perfection.

And I've always been a "Lover, You Should've Come Over" guy, but pretty much everything he did was genius.
A mention of Jeff Buckley always brings up the sad truth...only the good die young and talentless fucks stay around for eternity.
Lover, You Should've Come Over is probably my favorite song of the 90s. Maybe even of my lifetime.

Count me in on the "Lover" love. That's definitely my pick for best song...and the reason why Grace never left my old, ancient dinosaur of a CD player for about 7 years.
