Trust me, as soon as they finish tweaking the uranium Q-32 space modulator, they'll dissolve diplomatic relations.

I'm sure it will happen. As soon as there is irrefutable evidence of life, invasion plans will begin, because where there is or was once life, there may be oil.

They are party players; the only way to keep their party in power is the constant stoking of (usually nonexistent) fears and geopolitical antagonism.

They know what they're doing.

I mean, really, what if there really would have been peace and cooperation after the Cold War ended?

The two-party system would dissolve and no one would have a reason to vote for either of them.

So many systematic, structural changes would have been precipitated by it, but they would rather perpetuate...this.

Those in power (Putin included) don't take to obscurity easily; most are sociopathic in nature and crave attention.

Perfect combo for, well, the fucking mess we're in now, wouldn't you say?

Or am I just reading too much into this?

Or are others reading too little?
