Two truly inspired covers from unexpected places.
First up, I went looking for Elwood's ultra-cool hip-hop version of Gordon Lightfoot's Sundown, and lo and behold what did I find but a homemade video that someone had put together using clips from my beloved Firefly. Not really the best editing job, but who cares?
Here's Sundown.
Next, I have to admit that I actually like Paramore -- and that I kind of have a crush on Haley Williams (which officially makes me that really creepy guy).
Here's a video composite set to the band's surprisingly good cover of one of my all-time favorite songs: Failure's Stuck on You.

You're not the only one with love for Haley, so count my younger brother and I in on the creepiness. They're playing Convention Hall in August and I'm rushing to get tickets online, when I really should be working. Then again, when there's not much work to be done, what can I do besides blog/comment that doesn't involve turning my office into an anarchistic environment?
Yeah, but I'm older than you -- and a hell of a lot older than Haley.
As long as you don't buy a black van with tinted windows and show up to a show of her's promising candy, than you'll be fine. Merely a harmless crush, and I've heard that's not something the courts can touch. Besides, anyone attracted to Haley Williams has a defense...it's her hair. It draws us guys in and just makes her look hotter.
Easy enough to like — isn't that a Ken Andrews tune?
oh my goodness. i thought i was the only one who had ever heard of elwood!
