Quote of the Week

"My dad says that reading the Bible is what poor people do in between scratching off lottery tickets, and if you think about it, it's pretty much the same thing."

Damn, I love the Kids in the Hall! Probably one of the 10 best things to ever come out of the "Great White North." (along with Dan Aykroyd, John Candy & SCTV, Rush, and Cirque du Soleil.)

Yet, there is something that has been bothering me since Chez's evil twin Garth's last Pope post.

I never quite understood the concept, so please explain it to me...

Why is it so imperative that atheists push their beliefs (or non-beliefs) on everyone around them?

I mean, they rant and complain about how they have to put up with (enter religion here) pushing their ideals, beliefs, lifestyles, etc., then they turn around and do the same exact thing they complain about.

Doesn’t this practice (in a way) validate, possibly give undue credit for, or simply acknowledge the other side, and/or give more attention to all that in which they hate and fight against?

While we’re at it… Why is it so important for homosexuals to let everyone around them know that they are in fact homosexual? Why is it so important for them to be "open" and “loud & proud!” You just don’t get that from other groups.

I can’t recall the last time I saw a group of heterosexuals attending “straight pride” parades, or “straight day” at Disney World.

I guess it’s just me.

That is hilarious, and as I read that I totally heard Gavin's voice saying it in my head. I'm seeing them on the 30th and I absolutely. cannot. wait.

I loved the Kids in the Hall! I think the Grizzly one is still my favorite, but I'm a little weird that way. :)

And they're not coming to my little podunk corner of the world. Sigh.

Stupid ass poor people. They bother me being so stupid and needy. Why don't they just shoot themselves or starve or just otherwise leave the rest of us alone. Just stop being so poor and stupid.
