Listening Post

The brilliant H.L. Mencken once said, "Nobody ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public."

If you need proof of this, all you have to do is turn on your TV.

Or you can look at the Billboard Top 200 and see that Daughtry and Soulja Boy are there, but this band isn't.

TheStart -- LIke Days.

One more trivial question answered:

Whatever happend to Siousix and the Banshees?

That entire album is a great ride. If you haven't picked up the album prior to that, Death Via Satellite, you should do so.

I hope your post helps the band get a few more listeners. They deserve it.

eeew. they're irritating. as is their music.

the video is irritating.

the song is pretty good, for overproduced LA club metal, or compared to soulja boy.

not sure I would put in my top 200 of anything, but my top 200 is more like a top 40 most days.

I don't know...I think both the video and song are irritating. Not something I'd like to listen to for more than a couple of seconds.

Know what's great about this site?

It's not a democracy.

The comments boggle the mind. I love these guys.

They're even better live. Hope they tour through here again soon.

Also, Aimee Echo is ridiculously hot.

of all blogs, it's surprising to see this band - this song - on this one. i mean, whoa.. thestart? i've actually seen them twice.

they're good. the whole album is good.

i find your blog relevant and timely. it's frightening that so many schools are churning out graduates in broadcasting, preening them to work at stations like CNN.
you have my condolences.

the future is freelancing. that's my gig. hit me up sometime.
